Great references to Bluegrass Comedy! Is there any chance we could get another Hee Haw type comedy show? It was a great part of my childhood; right up there with Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner! 🤣

Chris Thille's radio show, "Live From Here" was a mix of music and comedy with more emphasis on the music than Her Haw, but nothing I know of on the TV side.

Thanks Eddie! Weren't you the editor of a magazine about 20 years ago? I think I still have some copies but I can't remember the name.

... the only problem with playing bad notes on the banjo is some people, like myself, find the sound of a banjo to be...well 🥶

G# definitely stands out, unless you're in the G Phrygian mode where it's the defining feature. Not much heavy metal shredding or Arabic music happening on banjos I guess, but there is modal music in the folk sphere (do we count the Holy Modal Rounders?).

Right, it's all relative to the kind of music you are used to playing and hearing.
