mmmm idk if it's unmaintained when my buddies jeep grand cherokee needed 2x differentials and 1 transmission before 27,000miles. he's not a car person but he's had 0 issues on a 4runner with 120k miles. So I tend to think that was Fiats problem with the jeep there. Def. agree way more issues with maintenance and abuse in most cars than engineering or manufacturing defects though

I don't seem to remember the older STI engines having as many problems as the newer EJ257 models. At least I can't recall seeing as many threads on the various forums talking about any issues like they do now. Still planning on buying a new STI this year though. Don't like the idea of buying a used sports car, and especially not a STI. While I'm sure there are nice examples out there, I have neither the time or inclination to try hunting one down. Wish I could have afforded an '04 or'05 STI when they were first out, but I did buy a 2006 Evo IX MR when it came out. That was fun! 😎

EddieNuffSaid it was between the '06 STI and the'06 Evo IX MR, and I just wasn't sold on the new looks of the STI (although I've come to like them a lot more in the years since). Plus the Evo was getting stellar reviews, and had a much better, more mod-frendly engine. Really loved that car, and there's been many a time I wish I never sold it.

I want wheels ASAP and once the warranty’s out I want more power. But for now it’s hard. We have a kid and a mortgage so it’s hard to justify car parts to my wife. I shoulda married a car girl!!

Hey Eddie you know you can fix the squeaky noise of the seat belts there’s videos of how to remove the noise by cutting some of the inside lining and completely remove the squeaking, I did that to my blob eye cs it was just annoying

I've taken in consideration your COBB AP gauge setup and, I want to add Final Ethanol but, I just can't find that one. Any help? I just bought my wife a 2004 WRX in blue so we can do a her STi Hybrid and his STi Hybrid. Her car is at my Subaru Master Tech shop getting an 05 STi Block dropped in with 2.0L heads.
