I think the crux of Morbius' success was Jared Leto's acting prowess. He stayed in character even off camera and really got into the Morbius mindspace by slaughtering the film crew, and it paid off in a big way.

I’m here for the vampire bat defense! They also have “friends” and will feed their friend if they didn’t get a meal that night (they’ll starve pretty quickly - I might be wrong on this, but I think they can die if they don’t eat one night) so if their friend gets food their friend will feed them to keep them alive. it's so perfect. i keep telling friends that there's no 'compliation' or scene that can show how bad this movie is. it's bad like the star wars christmas special is bad. it's too long, and drains your soul the whole time

Someone 100% ready to shut his brain down completly could get a little bit of entertainement out of it. Our standards are just way higher now. But don't get me wrong it was a baaaad movie. Eddy is the only person who really suffers for the art anymore. Edit: I watched the movie in a bored slump and Morbius's experiment is even dumber than it seems. He specifically mentions the gene that gives vampire bat saliva anticoagulant properties. Not sonar navigation or fangs or anything. His spit should just make you bleed more. I know it's a superhero movie but that's dumb even in a world with radioactive spiders and gamma-radiation rage giants.

@@briansteele5804 My cousin worked at a theater and he basically verified this when we were talking a year back or so. The staff aren't nearly as ignorant to what patrons are doing as they would have you believe. BUT they don't care as long as they're making money off you. They have no loyalty to a particular publishing house or director, as long as you bought tickets or paid for some overpriced food you can basically go wherever the fuck you want as long as you don't literally camp out the whole day.

Fun fact: Most people think the quote is "It's Morbin' time" but actually the original quote is "It's time to Morb." There is a deleted scene where he says, "It's Morbin' season," after which he morbs extensively, but this was removed in the final edit.

As a current emplyee of AMC theaters, this video sent me into another dimension. The only time we ever pay attention to people entering theaters is when its minors, and we usually don't read the movie names on digital tickets. But I love all the work you put into sneaking in, its truly inspiring
