This song is a masterpiece. It shows that eden thinks we’re all candles bound to burn out at some point. (“Light into darkness”, “Time ticking down”). And he doesn’t want that. He hates going in circles until he wears out. He wants to go in a new direction, and he’s hoping it’s the right one. That’s what I think this song is about.
