there is no Palestine - Yaser Araffat invented the term by taking the name Philistines from the bible and use it for jihadis purposes. Everyone in gaza post 1950 (the year gaza was built in egypt as a prisoner and death camp) was either born in egypt or jordan. Why are you calling being against genocide and war crimes "antisemitism"? Even if we do believe the numbers hamas has published, which are questionable because they are currently holding a literal baby hostage and a lot more people, the ratio of military death (hamas) to civilian deaths in Gaza is about 1:1.5, a good comparison to this war as it is a packed and small area is the Vietnam war which had a 1:2 or the US missions in Iraq which had 1:4.5 . I couldn't agree more that it is heartbreaking that losing innocent lives is a part of war, but Israel are doing their best to warn civilians and not harm any children and women with "knock on the roof" which no country has ever even thought about. The Israel government and military are far from perfect, but they are human and they are trying so so hard to save everyone- from the civilians in Gaza to the civilians in Israel (which, by the way include 2.1 million Arabs) All this is 100% true- feel totally free to ask more questions, look it up on Google, say I'm wrong- I'm more than happy to look into stuff farther than I have, but remember this is just the tip of the iceberg about the Israeli army trying their best to not be as evil as we were once treated as rats and none human. Don't let history repeat itself, for the kids sake in Israel and in gaza

Thanks for this beautiful reaction! So heartwarming! My partner and I voted for Eden 20x each, both in the semi-final as well as in the final from Austria. I can't imagine how hard it was for her, as a 20 years old artist, to stand on stage being booed, and still staying so strong. I have many friends and family in Israel. It is the feeling that many Israelis are going through every day since October 7th. I shed many tears listening to "Hurrican" and even more to "October Rain". It's also very difficult reading so many hateful comments against Eden and Israel on social media, especially after yesterday's performance.

No one feels good when images of Gaza or from Israel are shown, where everything's destroyed and people lost everything, but, unfortunately, Israel is facing a group of people that want them all killed. Israel is promising you that "never again". We all hope to see peace there and everyone to live happily, independently of which side we are, but we know it's very hard to happen. I saw your live for the grand final and I wanted to comment then but I didn’t get a chance to. But as soon as I saw this video on my feed, I never clicked on a video faster than I have this one. I wanted to say through the live, that I cried with you when Eden was on stage. Not because she represents Israel. Because she represents ALL OF US around the world who are just as confused, just as scared, and just as saddened by everything that’s happened since October. Seeing this mature, and poised young woman, stand up tall and confident, in the face of such vile hatred and ignorance. It was a powerful moment. It made me feel that we as a collective share our pain, but also share our resilience. She took on the weight of the world with no hesitation. I cannot commend her enough for her bravery. That being said, I do think that the lyric changes between hurricane and October rain do change the context and tone of the song. Hurricane, although was still singing about loss, felt more loving, more hopeful. Like a friend wrapping you in an embrace, letting you know it’s okay, you can cry, we’ll get through this together. October rain, felt more angry, more hurt, more hopeless (FOR GOOD REASON). Like a friend holding you for dear life, screaming NONE OF THIS IS OKAY, WERE NEVER GOING TO BE OKAY AGAIN, HOW ARE WE GOING TO SURVIVE THIS?? So while I do agree, that expressing one’s pain or loss through art is wholeheartedly not political. I can sympathise with why the song was toned down for Eurovision. And to be honest I prefer hurricane to be the Eurovision song, and October rain to be the anthem for the pain we all collectively suffer during the last 7ish months. Thank you for doing this reaction, I needed a good cry today 🫶💕

I completely relate to what you said, the situation is so complex and bad abd "picking a side" is just maintaining the polorizing hatered. I love the "Hurricane" version and I feel that this is the ONLY thing that all Israelis are really united about, the only thing that really connects all of Israelis but still very international. That's how there's also so many people who commented and reacted and they had no idea what the song is about. This version is just way more personal to Israelis, it's just unbeliveable. Heartbreaking, we really are losing our minds every day that passes. And Eden is just incredible, she presents the song, in this version and the Hurricane one, amazingly. She's just so talented and sensitive. This song is the only thing that makes sense to me in this sensless situation.
