Something that wasn't mentioned in the video that should be mentioned: Dimensional Shift is not only percentage-based as well (like Eden's Gravity), but will also go through resurrection immunity. Healers, Summoners, and Res Mages beware.

When it jumps to a corner for Pure Light, it can actually be baited to a corner of your choice: it will automatically go for the furthest corner, so if you tank it NE it will always jump SW. Pretty useful if you have a BLM in your group that can pre-position.

An easy way to handle Vice and Virtue (puddles) + Delta Attack near the end is have the DPS assigned cardinal points to drop the puddles before moving to their respective positions in the safe corners. The puddles drop before Delta Attack goes off, and if dropped on a cardinal, there's no risk of clutter/accidental misstep, so the raid can dodge DA as they did the first time.

I see a lot of people in the comments scared by these guides and never even attempting to join clear groups because it looks so hard to remember all of this. But honestly, and this isn't coming from your typical hardcore player that clears every single savage raid or extreme trial: This isn't so hard. The guides always seem really daunting and overly complex, but in reality it's just a matter of reacting to very clear indicators. You just have to have seen it once or twice, after that it's really not that hard to remember things since every pull is the exact same. You don't need to remember everything by heart because you will just naturally find yourself understanding the "flow" of the fight within a few wipes. People just need to give it a shot and not be afraid to make mistakes because it's really rewarding once you get the clear :)

I think the community mindset surrounding this is the bigger problem. People probably think they're expected to get it right the first time, often even in learning parties (which are ridiculously hard to populate more often than not). If you join a clearing party and mess up a mechanic, you're probably going to get called some names and/or kicked. FFXIV doesn't have a very patient or tolerant community, at least not on the NA servers. Frankly, I have hard time sitting by while someone calls someone else an idiot. I don't like playing with those people and it makes the content not fun.

Especially where you see PFs that say "Three mistakes - kick" even though that leader of said party makes the mistakes and blames the healer (if they're tank) or blame the tank (if they're healer). I've had learning parties disband after two wipes, this fight is hard on tanks and healers but I've had triple melee comps suffer because the lack of uptime to bait those orbs can hurt.

new players here, I tried to join a learning party and wipe like twice then people start leaving. It is so hard for new players to get into end game raiding since most of the experienced players at this point already cleared this content and few have the patience to walk green players like me to walk through the mechanics. And honestly, I feel there is no incentives for majority of the players to try the savage you get second best gear through tombstone anyway. Why bother repeatedly wipes and consequential frustration.

You can also arrange people in right triangles and have two people in the other corners if you all are in the wrong positioning. There's many ways to dodge that attack, actually. It's just that there's many easier ways that might not get you doubled up on.

Not sure why you put 2 dps in the same corner for Delta. If you keep them t/h & dps pairs then they can just stay in the same pairs for the dps markers under paradise regained.

Every tank has a personal cooldown, rampart, and some flavor of Sentinel, as well as an invuln skill of some kind.

As a GNB; what I'll do is Heat of Stone + Camo for the tank buster. If I don't bolide the Spear, then I'll add Rampart because Camo is usually still up. When the prey comes out, I just use Nebula by itself and that's good enough. It can indeed be done, but it feels pretty spicy. I personally just bolide the spear.

As DRK, I always rampart + TBN the beam, dark wall the spear, then dark mind + TBN the prey marker. Theres enough time after the beam to get the short CD back soon enough for the DoT, and I assume other tanks can do something similar to that

you can cheese the preys before the 2nd meteors by sacrificing a tank (give both preys to one tank) xD We accidently did it and we found it takes much pressure off the healers, if they dont have to deal with the bleeds between topping off the damage from dimensional shifts and baiting lasers, be careful if you need the rdps though

I often saw tanks dying to the bleed in combination with dimensional shift, which is very lethal if your healers are slacking and we came to the conclusion it saved some healer mana, when one tank got obliterated by both preys and we just ressed him into meteor phase. It shouldn't be a legit strat, but when it happened it was kinda funny, because of this there wasnt any healing required in this phase^^

Some strats to make pug life easier: 1. Assign delta corners 1 tank + DPS and 1 healer + DPS. 2. All DPS players rotate clockwise from this position to do first orbs. 3. Players on west side share Paradise Regained west tank, players on east side share Paradise Regained east tank. 4. Your delta partners are your four shared damage markers.

It's possible for one person to have two preys at once for both regular and altered prey markers, but not recommended since the regular will almost immediately kill a tank, and it may be harder to keep the dps alive with the altered. Also the rotating orbs for 2nd and third shift is 90 degrees, not 180

This fight sounds complicated but it's actually one of the simpler ones in practice since everyone pre-assigns positions at the start, and you can refer to that position for the whole fight to figure out where you're supposed to go. Let's say SW is your pre-assigned position: is delta attack happening? Head further out SW. Baiting first set of orbs? Do the SW one. Doing the altered vice and virtue that requires two groups to stack? You're already on SW, so go all the way W and stack with the rest of your group. Doing the partners mechanic right after that altered vice virtue? If before the fight it was established that everyone on the cardinal directions (N, E, S, W) will be moving clockwise then congrats, you don't even need to move since your partner on S will come towards you to SW. Almost all the mechanics in this fight are like this, so once you get comfortable with your position you already have a large part of the fight covered. I really think you should attempt the fight even if it sounds overwhelming, the more you do it the more it becomes muscle memory, and waymarks are usually set down as well so you don't lose your sense of direction. Just join a learning group and take it one step at a time and I promise you'll be fine.

Extreme trials should be fine as long as you learn the fight. Like Titania extreme is extremely choreographed, so as long as you know your initial positions and what to do, it all gets sorted out without having to say anything other than your cardinal direction position.

mana burst can't be stunned or interrupted. Mana Boost is what you need to interrupt (by a tank of physical ranged)
