As others have said, you must rebalance the fan. Better yet, mark the copper spinner with a magic marker and mark the fan blade it matches before removing the fan. Also mark the back of the fan on the rotor shaft so when you reassemble it, it is balanced as when new. If the blades are somewhat damaged, rebalance it. With plastic shrouds, do not hold it in your hands when balancing it by running it up as it may change the perfect oval of the shroud and bind the blades. Metal surrounds will not have that problem.

Looks like the spinner already had a balancing mark on it aligned to one of the blades. Oh well lol.

Can removing the fan from the motor upset the dynamic balance of the assembly

Yes but in the video you can see Wes actually made a mark on the cap and fan so they go back the same. Sorry he didn’t say he did that in the video 😉

good info what happens when you have a Habu 70mm and I can not get the fan to separate from the motor even used a channel lock plyers with a towel around it so it did not mess the motor side of the casing fan would not break free 🤣😂👍👍

My 64 mm F22 EDF unit looked like the underside of my lawn mower it was so caked with grass....lol I WAS SHOCKED ....20 - 30 belly landings will do it I guess...lol So I put a 70 mm in there....#FASTEST4SF22. GPS @100.04 MPH / 161 KPH

Actually if you see in the video Wes marked the fan so it goes back the same as it came out. Sorry he didn’t say that in the video. He try’s to get everything perfect but sometimes we miss things.

Don't ever recommend someone disassemble an EDF unless they know how to Rebalance it. Horrible idea.
