I have just balanced my 50mm FMS EDF with these process and worked pretty well, really so easy and I am so happy! Thank you so much! Warmest regards from Rio de Janeiro - Brasil.

Hey Guys, this is really slick. I've often NOT balanced my EDFs because it's too tedious and time consuming to do it the "perfect way". And of course there are more exact ways to do this and those should be the ultimate goal... BUT... In real life when you just want to make it 90% better in only 10% of the time, this is a heck of a trick! Thanks for showing it up close.

+RCSuperPowers Glad you liked it! We should do a couple follow up videos of the fans that I have balanced in this manor. It has made many people believers at my field and several people have had me balance their fans for them too. 10+ blade fans benefit the most from this method but all of them can be done this way. A properly balanced fan will make a whooshing sound even when 4-8 blades... This may be easy but the results still make it seem like the "Perfect" method for me...

I like your method! This looks way easier than trying to tape blades and keep it from flying off into my eye hole!!!

Great technique! I followed the procedure and the difference was amazing! Thanks for posting!

Can I just check some things, please? You choose a blade and highlight it so that it's in the same static position throughout. Then you adjust the/spinner/boss whilst keeping the original blade in its place, but moving the spinner to the next blade in sequence? One 'setting' will show/sound as quieter/less vibration, and that's the optimum setting? Thanks for the vid, Den
@martindelrio18913 жыл бұрын
Gooniac, have you tryed this? Put a glass of water on the table. the water should make the vibrations visible when the spinning edf gets in touch with the table.

Nice video. I finally got around to balancing some 64mm fans and it works. One thing is if the blades are hitting the shroud I get some sandpaper at the blade/shroud interface and manually sand a small amount off the blades then get on with the balancing.

Like the "tape" being on the Outside won't come off? Would it not be better, (after the outside taping) to transfer the tape to the inside of the spinner?? Just sayin'! Gb bg

Hi there. I'm a little confused, isn't that what was done? kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2TdgIOMaqpleNk&t=14m14s

Great vid to make even easier, use a servo tester in place of RX and TX for motor signal.

John Cha I imagine the cone is not perfectly shaped so the imbalance in it can counterbalance the imbalance of the blades
