I'm starting to warm up to EDF 6's earlier songs. They're not songs made by poets or musicians, but bitter survivors in a war of survival, so you shouldn't expect it to be a musical masterpiece. They just remember the tune, and add some words that they feel at that moment.

One voice I wish was more prominent is the voice of the lieutenant, since in game for the underground metro chapters his voice really stands out as the most key voice of the song for the lines "We live in the hidden depths of earth," "They took the world away from us." I know the captain goes off really hard for these lines, but the lieutenants different delivery really is the feel for those chapters.

Now that I've listened to it a lot during missions, I'm starting to like the new songs, especially when they're sung by more than one person. Solo, the lack of rhyming on some verses and not others feels odd, but when a group sings together, it's much less noticable.

I was thinking, since it seems like ALL of the EDF games are cannon, not just 1&2, 3&4, then 5&6 because the number indicates the number of timelines, I figured someone would mashup ALL of the songs with corresponding times of the game, like in 3&4 and 5&6 theres sections about going into the caves and crushing the nests.

Nah 1&2 and 3&4 are still separate from 5&6. The ravagers are a separate entity from the primers and the war of 3&4 take place over the course of about 10 years. The Primers in 5 and 6 are contained to time traveling within a period of 5 years, which is why the war always begins and ends on the same dates

Basically they're randomly sung by the NPCs in the various 3 years later stages. Devastation you would hear near the beginning of the game while humanity is losing while the future ones are the when humanity is winning.
