Edge 540 Aerobatic RC Plane DIY build

How to make Zivko Edge 540 RC Plane scale model (full scratch build video tutorial & maiden flight. I can't fly 3D aerobatics, but this plane can (I hope))

Dear NumaVig, at this level of design, including detailed drawing of a rather complex structure, plus the precise workmanship, it's total mastering. The plans are true, there were no needed adjustments (that's not easy and asks to master totally the CAO, it seems that the free Blender is a good software), plus the excellent engineering permits to get a 1 meter plane, with a pretty strong structure able to take a good number of Gs, at only 360 grams...The choice of the technical solutions is excellent. I've very rarely viewed such a level of conception, engineering and realization. So it's a delight to see and follow closely your very well made video. I'm in awe.

The Edge 540 is such a classic, just as your construction follows the classic old-school ways but using foam instead of balsa! Always enjoy watching all your builds!! The 2305 motor is a good fit but probably could be bigger if you wanted to do some more serious 3D stunt flying. Bravo!!

Excellent design, great build! I think you should try the GWS 10x6, 9x6, maybe 9x7.5 propellers, I think it suits this wing profile and the speed of the model better.👍

When I started flying in 1972, the ONLY way to get a plane was to build it yourself OR have someone build it for you---FROM SCRATCH or from a kit. So I have built hundreds of planes from sport to pylon to pattern to warbird. So I REALLY appreciate the effort here. But to be honest, at my age, I would rather buy an ARF than got through all that trouble. Keep in mind---building is one thing---building true, straight flying aircraft is another and requires lots of jigs. Best wishes.

Grüße aus Berlin Depron gibt's in 3mm und 6mm bei Hornbach ich werde mich im Januar daran machen das Modell zu bauen allerdings den 2305 mit 1620kv und dann an 3S mehr Power 🎉
