I had that question too. And you must be an American because the Titan Wild is not available here and in fact the Titan Wild he is using is contact cement and I can only find Titan Glue for concrete blocks on the internet. I use Foam Tac from Beacon on my work with sheet foam.

I think UHU Por is much easier to find

In fact it is. And on this side of the pond, it is considered to be the go-to glue for all kinds of foam (and foam-anything else combinations).

Thank you for no music, great lighting and no focus hunting. The perfection in everything is just amazing. Everything so neat and xlean. Amazing. I usually play most long build video like this at low volume and 1.25 speed. But with yours I had the volume on and normal speed. The experience is immersive. Thank you for making this into an art.

Are you actually kidding. Some of the sanding and cutting made my teeth go on edge. But I don't think I've ever watched a video so intensely in all my life. You sir are a genius. I've got and fly many radio controlled planes and I love large slow flying planes. I would love one the same as yours. I consider myself to be pretty good when it comes to DIY and this sort of thing and I've built many radio controlled planes from kits. But I'm amazed at how you made that look so easy. Lol. I'm gobsmacked. I've subscribed 👍

I've actually built an RC airplane once back in the 80's using the paper plans from a Do it yourself kit everything was a pattern in the same dimensions, I went to a hobby shop and bought a bunch of balsa wood using sharp razors and hacksaw Blades. I was able to build and lay out every part it was a lot of fun, it flew just like the one in the kit ,I'm going to do it again

Unbelievable the last post was three years ago. I’m behind. Awesome build man, as all of your builds. I’m currently building the Hydro version now, trying to make sense of the plans and combining aspects of both. It’s a fun project to build and I’m looking forward to flying it. It’s so slow and peaceful. Thank you for sharing

Fantastic work. Instead of using sandbags, in the 'old' days when we built balsa wood models, we used pins to hold pieces together while the glue dried. When dry, you just pull out the pins and there's only a little hole left which gets filled when you paint the model or cover it with a film. You can make all sorts of odd shapes hold together that way and if you need more strength, just use more pins. If the parts want to pull apart, just put the pins in at an angle.

Greetings from over here in the states love your video I'm actually starting to build my own airplane from junk around me even made my own propellers, one with wood and one with aluminum they work great, taking motors from a DVD playerI certainly will find a RC car or something to scavenge the electronics here's a tip I have for all involved from my model rocket program days when gluing use a dab of Super Glue on both ends it will act as a clamp.

Very nice! I'm converting a cheap handthrown polystyrene glider into a brushless powered RC model at the moment. I'm using a 4 channel kit that I took out of a Tiger Moth park flyer. The Moth looks beautiful but doesn't fly too great and I don't want to damage it. Hope to get some flying fun out of this little project. Wish me luck!

Back in the 60's, the AMA had the "builder of the model" rule. You had to prove you had built from a kit or plans to compete. These days, attaching wings and tail just does not mean building to me. Glad to see someone who truly builds a model.

@daviddavids2884

agree. but, usually, wood/bamboo is sufficiently stiff; to a length of about one foot, or so. then, a single Guide, at the pushrod midpoint, would do the job.

I see a lot of attention to keeping the build very lightweight even though it is also fragile. The fact it will only fly slow with the small motor should help prevent over stressing the airframe. I like watching slow and graceful fliers, even if the only days they can fly are very calm and breeze limited.

Well done. I also make compress styrofoam aircraft. The current one is a tailess swept wing design for high speed chase. Therefore only 2 servos required. The weight will be below 250gm and powered by 3S at 10amps max power. Cruising current around 7amps . Still under construction. 80 percent completed the wing and airframe.
