My oldest boy was 7 when his mother and I separated. He'd be with me during the summer and at the end of summer it would be very hard to say goodbye. I would try hard to be macho and not show any tears and reminded him that big boys don't cry. I watched this movie 1st time 10yrs ago with my 6yr old grandson and when the movie ended, I was so touched that tears started falling and my grandson went and told his dad that grandpa was crying because the movie was sad and then I felt my sons hand on my shoulder and he said hey I thought big boys don't cry❤😂😢😊😊Thank you so much for sharing this awesome movie I get to enjoy it again and this time I'm crying alone😢😢

This is one of those movies that fell through the cracks and turns out to be a Gem...1. Pretty good acting...2. good wholesome story telling...3.and with all this music potential for a great music sound track...how is it i just saw it for the first time...I asked all my friends and found out like myself...none of us new about this great movie...i am very impressed...and the movie has a lesson...real life lessons.

Great t see a contemporary film on the Res. I love Wes Studi and Irene Bedard & throwing James McDaniel in as the black coach is perfect. Sports is our one area where everyone has a shot, in spite of racism. More stories like this, please.

My daughter is becoming a pt. Hopefully if she get a scholarship from Cherokee Nation she will work on a reservation for two yrs. She was an amazing basketball player. We've talked about her coaching in her spare time. Fingers crossed shes does.

you made cry too..but since we are sharing...... i lost my baby girl when she was 3 years old... and to this day i have not heard from her because of her crazy mom...long story.... stood in the middle... even now after almost 18 years... i still hope and pray to hear from her.... nothing yet...... this movie is awesome. i am a teacher and sometimes i wish i had the patience to get these kids to listen and learn...... but no chance.
