Thanks a lot for this wonderful and delightful video. I'm an Italian 3D artist and as I'm writing this comment, I'm on my very first working experience in a studio. Your words felt so true and ispiring. This video gives me the right mindset on how to face all the future challenges. I'm scared, I'm pumped, all I want is just to learn as much as possible in order to grow successfully as an artist and as a person. Thank you again Siamak, can't wait for other inspiring videos. Seba

Wish more kids would watch this. When I was teaching at college I got so many students thinking a game artists just plays the game all day. On the other hand I remember some interviewers will tell the same thing you say here "you dont have what it takes to get a job", no one ever answer the question about what does it take. Heck I've been working doing 3D for 5 years now and I still don't know the answer to that question.

Hey, Siamak--hearing about your travels sounds really cool. I always like hearing different perspectives. It would be neat to hear if you had any culture shock moving to the USA. Like the things that really stuck out at first. It could even be funny--like things you found really weird, but people here found normal. And it would also be interesting to hear what you think about different parts of the country. From your perspective, is living in Florida more or less the same as living in California? Or is it really that different? It would also be cool to hear about how you learned English. Like if you just exposed yourself to the language for years and years and years and then started studying it. Or if like you actually studied hardcore for hours a day and went to classes and things like that. It would be fascinating! In any case, as always--thank you for your awesome content.

something tells me that saying 1/100 ppl that have some game dev experience and are actively trying to get into the game dev industry is misleading in a way that seems appealing for the inverse reason that someone telling you it's extremely easy would be appealing... it makes it seem like you came to the right place

Everyone says that to work in a Game Industry you need a 1 to 3 years experience but , I don't understand where to get that experience ? Do we need to work as a Freelancer in the beginning for 3 years ??
@EdgeloopAcademy2 жыл бұрын
You should start slow and work at whatever you can. I did commercial vfx first, then freelance on characters for cinematics and games and then worked as a senior character artist full time on an animated film and then senior character artist in an outsource studio. It takes time to build that experience.
