Beautiful tree and I'm going to add it to our list of trees to buy.

You definitely will not regret putting one of these in. It's on our list also for the new property.

we picked one of these and a candy heart up about 1.5 months ago. They sounded delicious by the tag but seeing this makes me super excited for the fruit that was already on it to be ready in july/aug

You guys are going to love this fruit. We were surprised how good the fruit was on a young tree like this. Hopefully you'll see (and taste) the same results!!
@brendan30814 жыл бұрын
@@EdgeofNowhereFarm yes, me too. Have you guys ever tried the candy heart? They look to be more plum like but I cant find any one who has done a review on them.

@@brendan3081 Candy Heart is better than Sweet Treat Pluerry in my opinion.

Will any Japanese plum work with polinizing the sweet treat pluerry?

Just got one for Christmas. Do you have a video on planting the tree?
@EdgeofNowhereFarm3 жыл бұрын
Hey Karen! Wow, what an AWESOME Christmas present! We don't have a specific video on planting this tree, but it would be the same as any other fruit tree. If it's a potted tree you can check out any of our planting videos from earlier this year. You can find them under our fruit tree playlist and most of them were posted in March/April. If it's a bare root tree it's a little different, so I'll link that one here. It's a bit older, but the concepts are the same. We'll also be filming the planting of our bare root trees in the next few weeks, but by then you should have this one in the ground! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fX2uaGZ6iciibJY

Looks awesome and delicious!! Where can I get a pluerry tree?
@EdgeofNowhereFarm5 жыл бұрын
Hey Branda! We bought this one from Greg Peterson's Urban Farm Fruit Tree program. It was a special order and he usually starts his bare root tree program at the beginning of September for January delivery.

I live in Russia and am grateful to America that there were and are such people as Floyd Seiger.

I have to second that one my friend. He really developed some amazing hybrids over the years. Hopefully there will be somebody who can step in and continue his amazing work.

"Looking forward as the years progress"... are you bringing this one with you to the new farm?
@EdgeofNowhereFarm5 жыл бұрын
Hey Allan. No, this one is staying, but it's definitely on the list for replacing as quickly as we can. Sometimes I forget these won't be ours in the near future.

Wish I could grow one...but do not get enough chill hours..

Hmm. How many chill hours do you get?
@saltyseatv59045 жыл бұрын
Probably around 200 if I am lucky. I am in SW Florida.

Where can we buy these?
@EdgeofNowhereFarm3 ай бұрын
These are Dave Wilson trees, so you would need to find a distributor for them. You didn't mention where you're located, but the Urban Farm Fruit Tree program is where we sourced ours from .

I just picked up the new flavor punch pluerry! Did you cut yours knee high after you planted it?
@EdgeofNowhereFarm4 жыл бұрын
Ooh, that sounds fantastic! Yes, we do cut them back to about 2.5 - 3 feet at planting time to keep the overall height down. You'll have to let us know how that tastes once you get fruit!

For cross pollution any plum tree will work to cross pollinating this variety?
@EdgeofNowhereFarm2 жыл бұрын
Dave Wilson listed the Burgundy plum as the cross pollinator for it, but I have to say it seems to fruit whether or not it's cross pollinated as we've seen fruit set before the Burgundy has even flowered!

I would like to know where did you get that tree? I like that tree too much but I was looking for it long time ago but I could not see it anywhere ? Please let me know where did you get it. Thank you very much.
@EdgeofNowhereFarm3 жыл бұрын
Hello Tai! We bought this tree from the Urban Farm here in Phoenix. They bring in bare root Dave Wilson trees every winter and this one we special ordered through them. Right now you might be able to find this for sale through online nurseries that ship bare root trees in the spring.

One of my least favorite hybrids from Zaiger Genetics. In my opinion it is like a small sweet plum with an ordinary taste. Candy Heart Pluerry is much better in my opinion.
@EdgeofNowhereFarm3 жыл бұрын
Hey Thomas. Haven't tried the candy heart pluerry before, but we may have a spot that would be a good one to try that out.
