Hey great video as usual, I really enjoyed those shots in the back on these birds, it drops them immediately and I'm surprised more people don't take that shot more as its devastating. The ricochet was awesome, you will probably never see that again in another 5 yrs of shooting.

The other day I discovered something very good to be able to see the pellets better as they go through the air, and that is to paint the bottom part so that when it comes out it will shine and can be seen more clearly. I hope it helps you, greetings from Argentina

Thank you, Maximo, I know some shooters paint the pellet skirts. There're even guys selling painted pellets. The thing is I fear the paint adds some weight and shifts the center of mass on a pellet, thus deteriorating the accuracy at longer distances. That's why I don't use such pellets. You don't have to be sorry, brother 😄 I admit the Taipan is a great gun. Shoots slugs better than my Matador and Prophet for one. That being said, remains to be seen how the Prophet is going to fare with slugs when I switch the caliber to .25 with the same CZ barrel that the Taipan utilizes 😉

nice video. I have a Taipan Vetran Standard .22 ... an amazing gun by all means ... accuracy ... quality ... you name it. I am just wondering .... what is the barrel on the Taipan? I shot many doves with 21 and 23 grain slugs ... but when shooting the targets, they are not accurate. The pellets are laser accurate.

Thanks, mate 🙂 The gun is a Taipan Veteran Standard, not Long, and it shoots slugs well with the stock CZ barrel. It appears those Czech barrels cope with slugs pretty good in general. But you still need to test and see which slugs your gun would like (if you own a Taipan that is). Unfortunately there is no universal formula, every barrel is a tiny bit different and has its own preferences.
