Because of bland edgy characters, I have never liked rogue type characters, not because all of them are bad, but too many people write them as the asshole kleptomaniac that goes "whoops I'm Edgy, so I'm gonna ruin your experience and be an asshole at that". Never played a rogue even in dungeons and dragons.

2:20 a species that has enough knowledge about biology to genetically modify themselves needing to harvest organs from another species is weird. the only reason i can think of is if it's a new species that they want to study.

Reminds me of how every story with aliens invading Earth is to steal our resources. As if almost all of Earth's resources can't be gotten a lot easier from uninhabited solar systems or asteroids, and an interstellar species with that level of technology could make literally anything with the massive amounts of energy available to them.
