I’m not much for Stax, but I can see the strength of going that route with Anikthea. Instead, I’ve leaned heavily into the doubling/Populating strategy, so I respectfully disagree with the idea that fewer doublers is okay. 😅. I heartily agree with your assessment of the Sanguine Bond combo, however. Protecting your board state seems more important than usual with Anikthea, given that you are exiling your most important cards to build it. So I recently added some things that phase my stuff out-there aren’t a lot of options, but at least there’s a chance to shrug off a board wipe. Privileged Position would be an excellent include as well, especially with the potential to make multiple token copies. One of the biggest struggles I’ve had is getting cards into the graveyard early while still building a presence. A friend introduced me to Chivalric Alliance and Peace of Mind. Both require a mana investment, but they do let you discard at will and repeatedly. It’s definitely a sad day when Anikthea has nothing to target on etb. Anikthea is by far one of my favorite commanders, so it’s always exciting to see what other people are doing.
