Elder of laurels pairs wonderfully with any creature that taps for mana equal to power, such as viridian joiner. If you have say eight mana and ten creatures, you can get your joiner to a 21/23, tap for 21 mana

With earnest fellowship, it’s not just your creatures. So your 5 colour creatures would be unblockable (except for colourless) but at the same time cannot block. You would only want to play this in a deck that benefits from the chaos of everyone’s creatures getting protections. Infect/poison would probably be good.

Since it's protection, most likely outcome will be that targeted removal will be stranded in the hands of the players, leading to them being more likely to just target your stuff with them, especially when you are already playing high-threat-level like Eldrazo, over just not doing anything.

I use it in my Marisi goad deck. Easy to get in an attack to goad one or more opponents. Harder for them to block the following goaded attacks when everything has some color protection.

Elfhame Sanctuary is fantastic in Tatyova and Aesi because you have a guaranteed landfall that then draws you into another card (making up for the skipped draw step). Abundance also provides similar utility.

Ive really learned to appreciate Bile blight in recent years. i think its a card that is hurt by not being framed with the ‘choose one’ thing. Because effectively its either a targetted removal or boardwipe against tokens, which is really sweet

With Insidious Mists, as long as you bump this thing to a single power (Not hard) she's doing damage and thus getting damage triggers. Ciphers are in blue/black, so those fit well, not sure if they're really any good. Any of the Swords would be a gimme, since they also increase P/T. Ninjitsu, maybe, but then you have to play Elusive Tormentor and set up Insidious Mists again.

It's funny, I just found Elemental Resonance yesterday when working on an Omnath Locus of Mana deck. I think of it like all those "passive income" schemes. It's passive mana generation. Also, Elvish Warhounds is so good and such a blast from the past. It was sooo cool when it came out. Of course there weren't as many ways to abuse it as there are now, and yeah, I don't think it used to trigger before they died. Even so, topping someone's entire army sounds like a blast. Green doesn't usually do board wipes so easily. Definitely makes me want to build a deck around Lure effects. I wonder what commanders are good for that. : quick trip to edhrec says General Marhault Elsdragon. Effectively gives all your creatures Rampage 3. hell yeah

Echoing Decay and Spy Kit pair together. Spy Kit gives the equipped creature +1/+1 and it has the names all non-legendary creatures.

For Insidious Mist: So, the first thing that comes to mind is giving it First Strike and dealing First Strike damage after flipping, before regular damage Ninjutsu in whatever. Essentially, Yuriko, but a bit more mana intensive and you're playing both big-mana spells AND a reanimation package so the discard to flip isn't that painful. Have a Chariot of Victory / Hidden Blade / Sharpened Pitchfork / Viridian Claw equipped before combat to it every time and you have 4 or 5 unblockable damage, followed by a Ninjutsu in that deals damage for any of its 'Deals damage to a player' triggers. Yes, you'd need at least 4 Mana every turn just to equip and flip, but it's a way to get in just some useful solid damage on top of sneakily getting Ninjutsu since First Strike damage IS its own subphase of combat.

Insidious mist + a bunch of clones to clone the backside to make a whole army of scary mist. And then add on auras and equipments that does things when you deal damage (obviously pumping up attack power to atleast 1). Things like Grevious wound and Qiuetus spike all of a sudden can become scary. Another one i guess is to go into white and use Odric to give all your creatures indestructible and hexproof. Guess you could do some really mean things with that like go in for damage and then boardwipe.

Elusive Tormentor goes insane in a Mutate deck. Hexproof, Indestructible AND unblockable is crazy on a mutate stack. Also, I love Earnest Fellowship in my 5-color-matters Jenson/Jared deck. Means I can't really block anymore but at the same time, all my big boys just go through.

I have Elusive Tormentor in my Otrimi deck. Insidious Mist is the absolute best creature to use as the foundation for an Otrimi mutation stack - an invincible, unblockable commander that you have to either board wipe or sack spam to destroy.

For Insidious Mist i'd make an esper equipment deck (Ardenn + Silas), cause the discard isn't so awful when you can cast it again from your graveyard and you can equip things onto this thing and make it really hard to deal with.

Insidious Mist would pair great with Pact Weapon. You don't lose the game for having 0 or less life as long as it's equipped to a creature, and because Insidious Mist is indestructible and hex proof, your opponents have to destroy the Pact Weapon. Additionally, Pact Weapon juices up the equipped creature every time you swing with it, so Insidious Mist being an 0/1 doesn't really matter

The real tech with Elemental Resonance. Target your opponents permanents. Sure it might make it less effective for color fixing. But you don’t have to worry about the 2-for-1

Insidious Mist looks great in a voltron deck. If that's your strategy with your commander already, the Mist it's a great creature to equip/enchant/pump as well.

As a compelling secret tech, I use Insidious Mist in my Reyhan + Ishai partners deck. I just play a board wipe, hold priority, flip this guy and thanks to Reyhan it gets all +1/+1 counters from all my creatures. Good luck dealing with hexproof, indestructible and unblockable 30/30!

Insidious Mist is great with Mutate. Cast Brokkos from your graveyard using its mutate ability. Mutate it onto Insidious Mist and now you have a 6/6 commander who cannot be blocked. Seems pretty good.

I use Insidious Mist in my Eriette the Beguiler/Zur the Enchanter deck... just so I have something annoying to enchant as backup. There's quite a few return enchantments too like Bruna that can return stuff you discard.

I completely forgot Elkin Lair existed (Visions was SO long ago...F**k, I'm old) - but it's immediately going into my Rashmi & Ragavan deck. So mean. Elven Warhounds would also work great in a mill deck that contains green (Like Great Mothman, for example). Bounce the creature to the top of their deck, then dump it in the Graveyard.

Elvish Warhounds is an MVP in my General Marhault lure deck. Love that card. It's not a 1 to 1, but Elusive Tormentor feels like a very fiddly and expensive Vashta Nerada. Hexproof is an awesome add, but I'm not sure if I'd ever slot it over Vashta for most use cases... maybe alongside.

Ok elfhame sanctuary kinda is neat in a tatyova-esque deck because if you have anything that draws cards or does things on landfall it garuntees more card draw. Or if you're already drawing cards, the sanctuary only stops your draw step, not any other cards you draw.

Trample has to deal lethal to blocking creatures before it can assign damage to the defending player. If you give elven warhounds trample it will be unable to assingn any damage to your opponents as it cannot assign leathal damage to any creature blocking it.

Q Have you ever covered Stone-Seeder Hierophant in a video? It’s off the beaten path, and does so much. It goes with Utopia Sprawl, & Market Festival etc. on one side of it. It also does crazy things on the other side of it when combined with Skyshroud Claim, Lotus Field, Boundless Realms, Summer Bloom, Collective Voyage, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Gaea’s Cradle, etc. It’s a mana making machine (in my opinion). Some players freak out about its mana cost, but more than pays for itself once it is out. Would love to have your opinion on this! Thanks in advance!

Earnest fellowship is bad. You do t mention that if you have a 5 color deck, all your 5 color cards now can’t block. And the whole game becomes swingy. You will lose.

Earnest fellowship is not good. Sure your creatures can’t be blocked by the same color but they also can’t block creatures of the same color. I mean if you want a slug fest you better have the bigger creatures.

Not how that works. It can still block and if the attacking creatures color falls under the blocking creatures protection (it would for a 5 color creature, not sure about colorless creatures) the blocker takes no damage and attacking creatures still takes damage
