Omg yes for Garth Nix in magic! “ universes beyond : The Old Kingdom “. The Clayr cards based around scrying / conniving / surveilling with Lirael as the commander. The Abhorsen’s with Sabriel as the commander and a new mechanic where you exile certain cards and put counters on them like banishing the dead behind the 8 gates of death. A free magic deck with the commander as Mogget in his cat form and can transform him into his free magic form. And a reanimator deck with Chlorr of the mask as the commander! How have they not made that already?? To further geek out on Garth Nix “ universes beyond : The keys to the kingdom “ where there are 7 sub sets for every day of the week and if you collect all parts of The Will you can mega meld it into an amazing enchantment creature ! I love this channel and the AMAZING NERDY hosts so so much!

Little guide for mulligans and 1st turn draws in non house rules settings... 1st turn draw Yes = If you have more opponents than teammates(you count yourself) No = If the number of your opponents equals your teammates (counting yourself) Mulligans If you are playing games as best of 1, then all player have the option to take 1 mulligan with no penalty. If you are playing a best of 3, 5, 99, etc, then mulligan follow normal rules(no freebies) Hope that helps

Abhorsen stuff which I have listen to the audio books some on car rides (my mom, a librarian, loves the book). But from the little I know and understand would be amazing in MTG. I also don't know a whole lot, aside from it being dragons, but Dragon Riders of Pern, another favorite of my Mom's, would be cool in MTG too.

Chaos Defiler destroys a card that was “chosen this way”, so if you can’t choose for one or more opponents because they have no nonland permanents, there’s no “miss” condition. If you can only pick a card for one opponent, there’s no randomness; it just goes boom!

This was awesome! I love 2HG, and to make it work over spell table and not being able to look at each other's hands and conspire must have made it extra challenging, even with texts and pictures. Fun guests, I'm going to have to check out their channel. Being mana screwed is rough. Olivia, I agree that with commander, you don't need to be great, or have the best deck, just have fun. Also, thank you for mentioning the Abhorsen trilogy, as I'm always looking for new books to read and the look good!

Two-headed giant with 4 people is essentially just a duel. In my opinion this format is best used when more than 4 people want to play together. I have had gamea with as many as 8 players and it went great.
