These look great. I currently have a couple of bookshelf speakers hooked up to an ancient Pioneer ampliefier. It'd be nice to have that built in.

Can u hook these directly to a monitor? Or has to be PC first?

Well, that is going to depend on your monitor. I'm using a Samsung monitor that has an audio output. You could also connect via Bluetooth if your monitor supports that.
