Thank you for this for this very educational and informative video. It is my dream to go to Scotland, but I likely will never get there, this video helps me play virtual tourist.

Faith. In the end you will regret the things you did not do alot more than the things you did. Point being, go to Scotland. Just do it.

I havent visited Edinburgh as such, I've been through it on a train and saw the castle looking up and past the wellhouse tower, that was many years ago though. I visit other places in scotland, mainly the town of Ayr, which has just as much history as Edinburgh, scotland is beautiful, and likes to preserve its history. As these people say, just go, just do it, of regrets there will be none.

I love this place and the city. I worked there for several years and got to visit Edinburgh twice. I also liked Sterling castle, which I got to visit on my last trip to Scotland. I'd love to come back someday!

all that history, stories and legacy I bet Robert the Bruce would never have thought parts would turn into a cafe and the castle become a tourist attraction #TrueScotsMan

I visited this castle today for my channel. I've been in Scotland since last week, traveling from Aberdeenshire down to Scottish Borders filming castles and historic sites. Edinburgh was my final castle on my trip. MR

do you agree with all the changeis to this historic spot
@HistoryVictorum3 жыл бұрын
Restorations are always tricky. I would have preferred that the changes to make it look more of what the Victorian Era believed it should look like, such as the new gatehouse, have not taken place because it never had those features to being with.

Amateurs and foreigners* There is nothing wrong with people from other countries taking interest in Scotland’s history. Especially since many Americans have Scottish heritage. Should only Italians write about Rome? Can only Frenchmen or Corsicans write about Napoleon?

It’s a house on a hill . No big deal.
@thenablade8588 ай бұрын
It’s a castle, so it’s not just a ‘house’ for the monarchy but a strong fortification to withstand sieges. It’s also over 900 years old. You have to be very dense to think that history doesn’t matter, even for ‘houses on a hill’.
