I applied to Edinburgh and I’m so excited for next year Autumn. But coming from Nigeria, Africa, videos like this are a great heads-up. Thank you Haddy

Hi Haddy. Thank you so much for this video, it's really helped me visualise where my belongings may go before I move in next month. Quick, but random question, how does the shower door open? I'm only asking because I'd like to add small storage trolley opposite the mirror, on the right side of the main door.

Hey Jasmine! Thank you for watching, I am glad it helped! The shower door opens outwards, so you pull it to open it.

Love your videos! I will be staying in Chancellor's Court this coming school year and was wondering if there are any appliances that you can't have in your room (maybe coffee machine, hair drier, electric blanket, etc.).
@HaddyJeng6 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the love ❤️ and I hope you enjoy Chancellors! As far as I know, there shouldn't be a problem with the appliances you mentioned but to be safe, email or call the accommodation to double check!

Hey! Just wondering, did you prefer Salisbury or Pollock Halls (if the horrible incident hadn’t happened at Salisbury)? How were the people at Pollock (I’ve heard the stereotype about lots of cliques of posh private school people)? And how was the food? Do you feel non-catered accommodation like Salisbury is sociable enough and easy to make friends in? 🧡🧡hope you’re well x
@HaddyJeng4 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Thank you for watching and sorry for getting back to you do late. Both places were quite nice and I liked them for different reasons. Pollock felt like a little student village which was cure and you had communal dinners which made things very sociable in that sense. Salisbury had great facilities, usually organised events on the accomodation to get people together creating a great sense of community. If I had to choose, I would go Salisbury. It had great facilities, I loved how international and varied the community was (Pollock stereotypes are true, especially in Chancellor's but the different houses have very different cultures - like one had a lot of international students), I also love the freedom of making your own food. Pollock food was good but it wasn't amazing so if you're not fussy about food it does the job. In terms of socialising, Salisbury did hold cute events to help get people together e.g. we did a GBBO screening in the common room where they provided cakes and hot beverages which was cute. Also if you have good flatmates, the kitchen a great place to get together because they are fairly big, have a tv and look great! Hope that helps, sorry for the word vomit x

Haddy Jeng thank you so much that’s really helpful:)) think I’m gonna go for self-catered accommodation x do you know of any other nice self-catered halls that friends were in or anything in Edinburgh?

Thanks so much for the video Haddy! Just a quick q - do we need to bring our own hangers or are they provided for us?
@HaddyJeng6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching ❤️ In chancellors, I had some hangers provided but it personally was not enough so I would recommend bringing some of your own, especially if you like hanging clothes like I do

Looks great, and it's awesome they clean the rooms as well. Could you tell me what the rent is like in Edinburgh for en-suite rooms, please? Thank you!
@HaddyJeng5 жыл бұрын
It’s really depends on the accommodation, but if you’re still interested, maybe message me on Twitter or insta so I can give you some more detailed info!

hey I have been given a ground floor room, I am a little worried being on the ground floor. What's your thoughts?
@HaddyJeng4 жыл бұрын
Cheryl Fender heya x so I lived on the 3rd floor so I’m not too sure. However if you’re living in the same building, I used to walk past the ground floor rooms to get to my lift. So I guess the only thing that could be an issue is noise, however when I lived there I didn’t notice that as much. Hope that helps x

If I may ask, why did you move from Salisbury? :)
@HaddyJeng6 жыл бұрын
I moved for personal reasons but I will discuss it further in an upcoming video
@emilyholden1826 жыл бұрын
Haddy Jeng Ah right ok :) I'm (hopefully) starting Edinburgh uni in September and I've put Salisbury down as an option, so I was just wondering if it was a problem with the actual place :)
@HaddyJeng6 жыл бұрын
yeah I completely understand! However, I left Salisbury due to the circumstances at the time, but I didn't have any major problems with the accomodation itself.

Emily Holden in a recent vidéos I think she explained it was because of racism from her flatmates !

Amazing video! (eventhough it was made 2 years ago lmao) But so I have a lil question. Would you recommend Salisbury for first year students? (forgot to ask that when I watched your other room tour) Thank you (:
@user-ct9sd4 жыл бұрын
or would you recommend any other accomodation maybe
@HaddyJeng4 жыл бұрын
Hey there, thanks for watching! I think Salisbury is a great place, it’s not too far from university, the facilities are great and they have a lot activities happening so you get to meet other people in the accommodation so I wouldn’t really recommend any other place tbh

Hi! I will be staying in chancellors court from September and just wondering if you know if there’s much variance in how the rooms look (same type, single en-suite) or if they all generally look the same? Just trying to get a feel for how to decorate haha!
@HaddyJeng4 жыл бұрын
From what I know, the rooms are genuinely the same lookin in Chancellor's. Since I didn't live there for too long I didn't really explore but from what I have seen in other rooms, they are all single ensuites (but double check or email the accomodation website to be sure). Hope it helps x 💕

Hi, thank you for the video. I'd like to ask how's the laundry facility there? Is it a self-service laundry? Thank you!

Hi there, thank you for responding. I stayed for a really short time so I didn't used but at far I am aware there should be one on site. Apologies for the late response x
