I was going to suggest visiting the War of the Worlds site. I live near there! @24:00 The Rocky statue was made for Rocky 3 and stood at the top of the Museum stairs until the PMA decided it was a movie prop and had it removed. a bronze plaque of sneaker footprints was left in its place. It was at the Spectrum until that was torn down and then the statue was moved to where it is now after a public campaign to save it.

My grandma was born in 1916 and I remember her telling me about War of the World and how she thought it was true until the very end of the radio broadcast. She said when she was 3, she was looking out her window and saw 3 lights in triangle form. She was scared to tell anyone because she thought no one would believe her. This was during World War one or two.

Moe and Shemp got their start in show business by working three summers in Jeannette PA, near the Lincoln Hwy. They lived above the old post office on Clay ave and worked in the summer theater at what was an amusement park called Oakford Park. Side note: when Moe was touring in the area he stayed two streets above me in Jeannette. I beaned him with a snowball once.

If you wanna try a restaurant rivalry, on par with Gino and Pats, I highly recommend you check out American Coney Island and Lafayette Coney Island in downtown Detroit. Both are literally right next door to each other, and have been for close to 100 years now. The first one was opened by a guy who brought his brother to the USA and then they got in an argument over how to make the food, causing them to spilt and open the 2nd restaurant next door. I'd love to see you decide which is better, as everyone in Detroit has an opinion.
