I love how whenever you stick your head into one of those goofy cartoon photo ops you just stand there awkwardly quiet with a deadpan expression. It’s so much funnier than if you said something lame or did a silly voice. Keep it up Jacob!

I remember taking road trips with my family when I was a youngster. I miss those days. I feel like everyone who watches your videos, are traveling along in the car with you. The prison certainly was ominous, especially the gas chamber and the gallows. Thanks again for sharing your road-trip Jacob. Safe travels.

Hey there Carpetbagger, we are enjoying your trek across America via the Lincoln highway. When you get to San Francisco, the very last Lincoln highway marker is there. It is on California Street in between Highway 1, which is called Park Presidio there, and 14th Avenue. It is on the south side of the street in-between a bus stop kiosk and a garbage can. It’s just 1.8 miles from the Lincoln Highway endpoint at the Legion of Honor in Lincoln Park.

Back in the early 70’s my uncle and aunt stopped at Hiland to buy a pack a cigarettes. My uncle went in, while my aunt waited in the truck. When my uncle returned he said “Guess what hon, we just bought this town!”🤣 They owned it for many decades and sold it a while back. My uncle still lives just south of town. Only in Wyoming!🤣

Wow interesting location. The dots on the wall from toothpaste for hanging pictures is new to me. I would think it just melt. Also, I wonder if this place is haunted? You have courage for sure sitting in the gas chambers seat. I would freak out 🫣 “Always move ahead” on the double sided car is great motivation for the weary traveler.

If you go 45 minutes north of Sacramento California off the Lincoln Highway and up the 99 you can see the smallest mountain range in the world call the Sutter buttes it was really special to the Native Americans that lived around the area and it is still special to the people here now

Ok, I did a bit of research, and found out that Dan Corbin was a resident there, who was very active in the community. He passed away Jan 23, 2016. He is the reason the cupola of the old Capitol Building is there. He bought it at a State sale for $100, and had it put out there to draw interest in raising money for the Granite School.

Another great video -- pity KZbin's auto-generated subtitles take some time to kick in, but I'll re-watch in a few days to catch what I missed. (The guide in the penitentiary was almost impossible to understand. Not your fault, of course, Jacob; the acoustics were lousy.) I envy you not only the journey and its sights but your food breaks. I know there have been complaints about those food segments, but they allow me to enjoy the trip vicariously even more. Thanks also for making the selfies in front of monuments, gives us a sense of scale. P.s. -- re-watching the video a day later, now that the CC has been turned on. If that was something you did, Jacob, thank you.
