Using a fun teaching prop engineer Rudy Dehn explains how DC and AC generators work. This generator shows the flow of energy in one direction or both + and - using an LED and small bulb. See a simple split-ring commutator and slip ring.

Could u make the wire rub against the magnet by moving the pulley sytem with magnet propulsion like two opposite magnets constantly pushing each other on a track while pulling the crank making the pulley move that is generating power from rubbing against the other magnet and would it be possible to make a magnet propulsion home genarotor that can produce around 30 kw a day and and is built to last to continuesly produce energy for a home and maybe put the generator underground to muffle noise pollution and could u make it affordable and good quility.

You can change from dc to ac by moving the contacts? So I’m guessing that contact rod has a separation. Of how does that work?

How work a generator with stator coil ???

This has me confused. I thought all generators required some type of excitation on the rotor coils?
@GTChow
@GTChow 3 жыл бұрын
This is because in this video he is using a permanent magnet, there is no need for excitation in this case. The excitation is only when using iron or steel wound in wire to turn it into an electromagnet at will.
