Your explanation of the tone curve is incorrect. rawpedia.rawtherapee.com/Exposure#Tone_Curves "The top-right point represents the brightest areas in the photo. Drag that point vertically down to make the highlights less bright; move it horizontally to the left to make bright areas brighter, perhaps at the cost of some overexposure. The bottom-left point represents the darkest areas in the photo. Move that point horizontally to the right to make the photo darker, perhaps at the cost of some underexposure. Move it vertically up to make the darks lighter."

You Raw Therapee videos are excellent. I tried Adobe Lightroom (Classic and CC) and found them to be heavy handed. RT on the other hand gives us tons of options and does not hijack my computer. And it works on Linux!

Such a good tutorial. I literally have never edited with Raw Therapee but wanted to get into shooting raw. This helped a TON. Thank you so much!

Since you have 3 photos here, are you able to show us how to do focus stacking?

Great explanation of what and why you make your choices which was a benefit I did not expect. Thanks very much. Also you mentioned throwing the photo in "GIF" (I believe) to desaturate. Could you explain what you mean?

I think I meant GIMP (Graphical Image Manipulation Program) it's like Photoshop but free😀
