Edit Videos With Blender! - Creating A Default Startup File for blender's VSE

I'm loving your videos so far. It's worth mentioning that it's possible to set up your start-up files so that you get something like "File->New->Configured Video Editor" or something. Using that will be remembered, so saving the start-up file will only clobber that particular startup. So just like your other File->New options, you can keep multiple copies of startup files.

@@GameAbuseStudios I *think* I saw it explained on Maker Tales channel, but I haven't found it lately. Basically, copy startup prefs and user file into a subdirectory in the right place and it just shows up in the menu. But it's different for your files and blender's default files. There it is. AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\startup\bl_app_templates_user\YourDirectory\startup.blend and userpref.blend, and now you have file->new->YourDirectory. There's more you can do with scripts that run on startup and custom icons and stuff.

how come your blender recordings are sharp ? is there a secret sauce OBS setting ? I have a 2k monitor. Thank you

I'm recording in 4k with the quality set to lossless, over in blender when I'm editing My videos I set the scaling filter to nearest neighbor when I zoom in more than 2X since 2x of 4k is 1080p. Seems to work out pretty good. But I still have a long way to go in terms of making my videos more understandable and less zooming in. My videos have a bit too much motion.
