Edith RECEIVED A HIGHWAY VIOLATION Notice! So I Cleaned The OVERGROWN Garden For Free

A highway violation for overgrown vegetation blocking the pathway, was a worrying for Edith. So she was the star of Flawless Blessings this week, with some satisfying pressure washing to a garden clearance, making this a huge garden makeover!

The local council should be ashamed of themselves. Instead of issuing a violation notice, they could have contacted the probation service. Edith is exactly the type of person that the "Community Service Order" scheme was established to help, whilst providing local offenders the opportunity to give something back to the local community as an alternative to custodial sentences. Well done Ben.

I'm not sure if where you're from you have your juveniles that are on probation do community service hours, but in the US they are required to do a certain amount based on well... It's left up to the judge and the probation officer. This would be an amazing way for them to work off those hours and come out with a job to occupy them at the end.

Her council has a cheek! Did you see the tree on the corner intruding on her land with low branches? So she has to keep her garden tidy, but they can ignore THEIR responsibilities? Disgusting. You are generally given a notice period to have the work done, after which the council attend and charge for doing it, in most cases. I'm not from Bexley so they might enforce slightly differently. Regardless, it's great of Ben to come in and do the work for her.

Hi Mary, so the letter gave her 14 days to cut the vegetation back, as it was causing a safety issue to the highway, I have no idea what would of happened if she didn't do it. Maybe the council would of cut it back and sent her a bill? or a fine.. I feel it was a bit strong as it was a lovely tree

Oh Ben, I smiled through your entire feel-good video. What a precious gift you gave her and not only changed the look of her home but changed something in her heart as well. The power washing was the icing on the cake. Speaking if cake…yum! You asked how our day was and you probably will not believe that I spent a good part of it filling up bottles with rainwater. Living in the high desert I use every opportunity to collect it for watering my gardens during the hot months of summer. So I recycle all of our bottles as well as the rain water. At 71 I’m wondering how much longer I’ll be able to do it…I’m tuckered out.

I hope this is your name, Ben. So awesome for you to take your time and effort to help Edith with her yard work. As we age our bodies forget how we used to keep things in an orderly manner, now everything or most everything seniors need additional help in keeping up with things, especially yard work! Here is a genuine tip for you Ben to help when cutting branches from a tree. ALWAYS cut the branch perpendicular (FLUSH) to the tree trunk. As time goes by the tree will heal this wound and will prevent future branches to grow. Wait 5 months then go back to Edith's house to see how the front trees have healed. From the way you cut the branches I will assume many new branches are sprouting from each place you cut branches. Send me a reply to let me know what you observe:

Mate I've literally only just come across your channel and I just wanted to say you have 1of the best attitudes, ethic and heart I've seen from so, so many of the other people who claim to help someone but then turn round and take their money and run.
