Editing in the Modify Tab in Premier+2 Embroidery Software

I am having a problem changing the number of threads when I downsize. I cannot find it in the book either. When I make the embroidery designs smaller i need to reduce the number of stiches. I have had my machine 1 month and have yet to make something. I traded in my Topaz 40 to a Topaz 50.

Are you trying to reduce the design in the Topaz 50 or in the software?

How do you remove designs if they are all in the same color thread? There are certain elements in a design that I want to remove but can't.
