Thank you. The split and splice program can be used, but it does not handle the SFF2 format, so you must know that some properties of the Style are lost. When approached in the way I describe, there is no need for Split ans Splice.

Great video, Casper, thank you. Perhaps you can help me with another tutorial, if you are willing. What I'd like to do is to take the MIDI part and open it in Finale notation software (I can do this with a normal MIDI file.) I can edit it there, using notation, if I understand how to edit each rhythm, into, ending, and fills. I'd like to understand how these appear in the style so that I can do that. I'd like to save these as MIDI (as well as notation) for further use, as needed. This would allow me much greater control and speed in building custom styles for each tune I want to perform at clubs and weddings. Can I also control the harmonizer -- I thought that is somehow linked to Channel 5? This ability is key. Otherwise, I'm limited to existing styles, which are too general to have the correct feel for each tune (rock, funk, blues, etc need to be specific for each separate tune within each genre.) Thank you so much for your help. I've been struggling with this for quite a while, and need your help! - Charles

Hi Charles, I think I understand what you need. You want to do Styles that contain parts of songs in INTRO channels. I think I will make a video soon to help you. I will creating video like this name, how to make a Style from a MIDI file. I will use the free "midi2style" program. Vocalist settings can’t be typed directly into Style but of course you can control it with what you play in your left hand. I didn't fully understand you about the 5 channels. Are you talking about the built-in VH2 or the external Vocalist?

@@CasperVideo Hey - thanks for your quick reply. I didn't mean 5 channels, I meant midi channel #5, which can (perhaps?) be used to control the internal harmony parts. So instead of being limited to the triads played in the left hand, perhaps you could use more sophisticated vocal harmonies. These could be, for example, a high part a 10th above, jumping down to a 3rd above or a 5th below. Or, you could use the notes in the scale which are not part of the triad: 2, 4 6, Maj 7. But only if you can control them using a separate score (in Finale) and a separate midi channel, like channel 5. Thank you!

I wrote it wrong, so it turned out I was thinking about 5 channels. I figured you meant no # 5 MIDI channel. VH2 has three modes of operation. What you want can only be achieved with Vocoder Mod kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnaVhWpmfJiFhtk The tones you play in the left hand (LEFT) will control the accompanying VH2 vocals. If you enter these tones (Finale) into one channel from Style, then it will not have a good result. It cannot be set for VH2 to sing properly.

Yamaha has not released a complete CASM policy specification. So we have to fend for ourselves. Depends on what was done in Cakewalk. You can completely change the volumes for each Part, you can delete some instruments or notes ... Naročito u smislu prepravke Drum Set-ova, šta je dostupno od audio alata za svaku komponentu bubnja ponaosob. Na internetu postoji more loših komentara za ovu manjkavost u odnosu na Korg aranžere, u smislu operativnosti. Ako sam dobro razumeo, u Tyrosu 5 nije moguće menjati EQ parametre svakog elementa bubnja zasebno, što je bilo dostupno u Tyrosu 4?

Drago mi je da ti se sviđaju video klipovi. Skoro godinu dana nisam postavio video i moram priznati da mi to pomalo nedostaje. Zauzet sam nekim drugim aktivnostima i jednostavo se ne stignem "zabavljati" s KZbin kanalom. Zato uvijek uhvatim vremena za odgovore na pitanja. Yamahin Style se uvijek mogao obrađivati veoma detaljno i ako baš moram uspoređivati s Korgom, ovakav edit je pregledniji i opsežniji. Pogledaj kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnyUoXaLrq-abtE Taj posao se ne može raditi u Style Creatoru klavijature i to bi se možda moglo pripisati kao nedostatak. Međutim, treba znati da se sve promjene koje radim na XGWorks istovremeno slušaju na klavijaturi i na kraju postupka upisuju direktno u strukturu Styla. Svaki pojedini Style ima svoja unikatna podešavanja, pa se tako i taj "famozni" EQ može dodjeljivati na svaki pojedini element bubnja. Najpre sam razmišljao o prelasku na T4, pa na T5, zbog mogućnosti učitavanja više setova istovremeno. Međutim, taj poboljšani Drum editor, na novijim PSR aranžerima i famozni mono legato me teraju da razmislim i o tim modelima. Opet, sama hardverska konstrukcija i klavijatura (dirke) su viša klasa na Tyrosu. Meni je potreban ppuzdan tezgaroški instrument. U nekoliko situacija mi je i nekim lokalima zbog loše struje Korg TR brljavio, dok je Tyros 2 radio bez ikakvih problema. Tako da mi je i taj nemuzički segment vrlo bitan. Eto, možda ideja za novi video? Poređenje mogućnosti Tyrosa 5 sa PSR SX/S serijom, iz više uglova.

Prvo, cijene su u zadnjih godinu dana malo podivljale, drugo, ne postoji "stariji" top model koji bi zadovoljio ono što sam opisao u predhodonom javljanju. Morat ćeš napraviti kompromis, a sve ovisi o tome koliko si novaca spreman izdvojiti na noviju klavijaturu. Kada bih ja odlučivao, a težište stavljam na pojam "pouzdan instrument za nastupe", onda je Tyros4 najbolja opcija. Dobivaš brži RAM, noviju robusnu klavijaturu, XLR za mikrofon, CUSTOM DRUM i bolje tvorničke zvukove. Doduše, nemaš mogućnost kombiniranja Pack niti preciznog drum edita u samoj klavijaturi ali imaš i dalje odličan instrument za nastup koji je novijeg datuma i boljih tehničkih karakteristika od tvoje "dvojke". Recimo da bi ti nadoplata na tvoj Ty2 bila otprilike 1000 eura. Kada bi išao na nešto poput PSR S770, nadoplata bi bila cca 300 eura. Ovdje dobivaš DRUM EDIT, kombiniranje Pack, više tvorničkih zvukova ali izrada PSR modela je daleko ispod Tyros serije. Lošije tipke, manji tasteri, lošija plastika panela, slabiji ekran ... Da ne govorim o osjećaju na bini kada se ispred tebe nalazi "igračka". Ako ideš na PSR SX700/900, dobit ćeš tehnološki bolju klavijaturu i od Tyros5 (više zvukova, novi MONO LEGATO, mogućnost terci) ali ovaj osjećaj na bini je opet ostaje na sličnoj razini kao kod PSR S serije. Nadoplata za SX700 bi bila otprilike 600 eura, za sx900 oko 1200 ... Znači, TYROS4 vs. PSR SX900 za otprilike istu nadoplatu? Tehnološki gledano, PSR SX900 je puno bolji ali kvaliteta tipki i cjelokupna izrada je daleko ispod Ty4. Na vagi bi jezičac bio negdje na sredini, sve ovisi što više preferiraš. Znam da ti nisam mnogo pomogao, možda sam čak i povećao dilemu što kupiti nakon Tyros2. S Genosom siguno nećeš pogriješiti ali to je veliki zalogaj, velika nadoplata. Kod mene nikada nije postojala dilema, uvijek vozim slabiji/lošiji auto, a za razliku u lovi kupujem top model klavijature. Pored osobnog zadovoljstva, takav pristup ima i druge prednosti. Ali da više ne dužim, to je moj stav i pristup. Na tebi je da sam pronađeš svoju logiku i doneseš odluku. Sretno!

Hi Fred, It is probably possible to use Assembly mode as well, but before that you need to transfer the piano trill to Style Creator using Copy. If you want to do it with a computer, then the best solution is MixMaster in combination with XGWorks. MixMaster > GoTo> XGWorks and copy the desired Piano Trill. In XGWorks, find the Marker (Intro 3/2) and copy the Piano Trill. Just paste it on the same channel where the Intro1 marker is. You can send me Style.

Zdravo Casper i od mene...odličan video za nas sve koji baš neznamo how to...ali meni je nekako palo u uho nešto drugo a to je ritam gitara u style-u kojeg u tom video obrađuješ.Moram u početku reči ,da občinito imam problema s ritam gitarama u stylovima.Jako volim vašu hrvatsku muziku naročito Olivera,Magazin ,Nove fosile,dalmatinske pjesme i tome slično,da ne nabrajam previše.Problem je u tome ako več pronađem ritam za pojedinu numeru rjetko pronađem adekvatnu ritam gitaru.Lako se može nači bubanj,bas ili druge elemente ali gitaru težko je nači.Sve mi zvuče kao,da nemaju pravilan akcenat koji bi odgovarao pjesmi i zvuče nekako amerićki ili japanski....Multi padovi su nekoliko bolji ali volio bih ritam u style-u.Kako postiči pravilan akcenat gitare da bi ritam zvučio kako treba?Tu ne govorim o boji gitare ,govorim o ritmu samome ... Pozdrav i tebi, Dušane. Slažem se da je ponekad teško naći gitaru koja će se dobro uklopiti u ritam. Problem je baš taj akcent koji spominješ. Video s dodavanjem gitare kao audio fraze sam napravio samo da prikažem kako postoji i ta mogućnost. Međutim, to je kompliciran posao, a rezultat nije uvijek onakav kakav i očekujemo. Za izradu neke vlastite kreacije gitare preporučam slijedeći pristup. Prvo odbereš jednu tvorničku koja je nasličnija onome što treba. Style u kojoj se ona nalazi prenesem u cakewalk i u step edit mijenjam one dijelove koji mi nisu dobri. Kada kažem mijenjam, ne mislim na promjenu nota, nego redoslijed odsviranih tonova. Kada gitarista povuće trzalicom odozdola, prvo zahvati najtanju žicu "e" pa je i redoslijed tog akorda složen upravo tako. To se mjeri u malim razmacma, kod Cakewalk se to zove Ticks. Na taj način dobivamo prirodnost gitare jer kod nje nikada nisu odsvirani svi tonovi u istom tenu kao što to može biti slučaj kod klavira, recimo. Uz to je bitna dinamika odsviranih tonova, što se može prilagoditi preko velocity zone, tj. vrijednosti od 1-127. Pored ove "filozofije" izrade gitare postoje i takozvani Multi Vocie zvukovi koji na tonovima od C6 na više imaju uzorke nekih efekata poput udarca trzalice ili povlačenja prsta po žici. Oni daju dodatnu prirodnost zvuku ali vrlo često mogu i smetati, pogotovo kada nam treba "čvršći" ritam. @@CasperVideo Hvala Caspere za vrlo brzi odgovor.Naravno znam kako sljede note kad se svira gitara.Ima bar milion načina kako odsvirati ritam gitaru.Važan je udarac na žice,trajanje,početak na gore ili početak na dole i tako to na milion načina.U hrvatckoj muzici imam osječaj ,da su stvari jednostavnije i ne komplicira se mnogo kot pratnje gitarom (bar ja to tajo čujem).Ovde pre svega mislim na izvođaće koje sam več spomenuo.Jako bi bio sretan ako nekada u bodučnosti možeš napraviti kratak video kako se radi u Cakewalku sa step editingom i možda meni uspije napraviti ritak koji želim.Moram reči,da sam probao na mnogo načina popraviti gitare ali bez večeg uspjeha.Cakewalk je odličan program uz Mix master baš napravljen za to što mi treba.Problem je samo kako-to uraditi....Što se ludorija oko najnovije i jedine bolesti koja nam je ostala tiče, mislim,da neče tako brzo završiti i za nas muzičare bit će još loših vremena...Nadam se da sam u krivo....Pozdrav

Sve što je opisano vrijedi za sve yamahine aranžere. Jedino se u programu treba postaviti određeni instrument s njegovom definicijom instrumenata. Postaviš Tyros4 i sve funkcionira kako treba.

Hello, I'm using style magic in the same way as the video along with the mix master, after editing in style magic when saving this message appears ..... in the demo version the save file function is not available to buy the full version!
