There is a movie that is coming out very soon (unless it already came out) that looked amazing based off the trailer I initially saw as an ad. When I later tried to show my grandmother the trailer I had seen there were 2 options. One was the fantastical wonderful trailer I had seen with just an air of mystery and darkness. The other which was unintentionally the one I showed her, made the movie seem to be a dark creepy atmospheric horror movie with a sprinkling of comedy thrown in. That trailer completely shut it down for my grandmother. I guess I could understand what happened however, seeing as the directors of the movie are horror experts trying to make a book adaptation into a family friendly movie.

From what I hear, the original version was dramatic, but also a bit "on-the-nose" if you will. It apparently involved predators who get shock collars to keep them from getting excited and a work in progress animatic really hit it hard how terrible it is. I kind of liked the version we got a bit better because the racism they imply is a bit more subtle and you don't really realize it until halfway through.

Drama, Thriller, and Horror were my favorites. Idk if it was possible but having ambient sound and music out of some of the parts would have really made this a lot better. Plus I think some bass effects would have brought a lot of dramatic effect.
