Sonogong is the Korean name for the Monkey King and also refers to Goku in Dragon Ball Z. A lot of the dance moves are like moves from the anime.
@Alexis-rh7nz Жыл бұрын
Yes, the dance moves like the clouds that transport the character (esp S.Coups part) and the power pole (Joshua's part), the parts at the end when the back up dancers became clones of the characters just like the anime and story of Monkey King and more.

Seventeen are a group of 13 members. They absolutely amazing at what they do. They are called 17 because they have 13 members, 3 units, plus 1 team, so that equals 17

@jstjwls Жыл бұрын
This song was inspired by both A Journey to the West’s protag. Sun Wukong (chinese name) and Dragon Ball’s protag. Son Goku (japanese name). Son Ohgong is the korean name. I don’t really know the story of sun wukong all that well to note the references, but i did catch references to dbz, some being: - gunduun/flying cloud/nimbus - power pole during Joshua’s verse - the instant transmission pose that they do during the chorus and throughout the whole song - the kamehameha that Dino does - the reference to the korean ver. Of a kamehameha (energy pa) during woozi’s part at the end - the ending line being “the credits ending song” they say manhwa (koren ver of manga) so its more accurate to translate it to the anime’s ending song with context Feel free to add or lmk if there was something I missed or said wrong, I was just pulling what I knew on the spot lol

The lights weren't edited same with the fire! You can check the behind the scenes to understand how it was made, they had around 240 back up dancers on set!

Seventeen has a wide variety of discography to check out. They have been consistently great in their choreo, as well as their song quality. All of the mv's mentioned here are really good. Some more to be considered are from their earlier days-- Mansae, Aju Nice, Clap, Call Call Call. Including their subunits and solo work, they have over 100+ songs-- and many have excellent mv's to go with. Have a great time checking them out! You will not be sorry you did, and I look forward to more reactions! Say the Name!

So, You will have lots of comments, so I will just add this. Seventeen are known for their awesome choreo [of which members of the performance unit led by member Hoshi have a great deal of input], and as the self producing Idols, due to member Woozi [the small one] being responsible for writing and producing the vast majority of their sizeable music catalogue. Amazing group, my advice, basically watch anything, they do not miss.

Seventeen is self produced and self choreographed group they really started from 0 and became one of the biggest and successful kpop group in the world with their hard work trust me more than 8 years into their carrer but not a single bad performance They r called theatre kids and synchronization kings dancing kings , stage breakers of kpop Because of their amazing performances They r talented, funny and very humble

It's great to get a professional's reaction. Thank you. horangi power left you a huge SVT list. While they have over 100 songs and many genres there's a few of my favorite mvs omitted: Call Call Call and Thanks. In today's mv they used an abandoned bldg and wired it up. The front and side sets were built and added. There were over 200 dancers & 3 choreographers. There is a behind the scenes. And no cgi Seventeen debuted in 2015 and most were in training 4+ years before that. (S Korea does it different) They just signed another 7 yr contract (a year early) I look forward to more SVT from you. 💝

The moment you said the theme seems that of a ninja and that the song is the one you should listen to when you're just like "I hate my life" is the moment seventeen succeeded in delivering the message they wanted to deliver. For this album, they had two title tracks "Fuck My life" and this one. Fuck My life is all about how life leaves you thinking that you are worthless while this song is kind of an answer to the former song. And to give this message in Super, they make several references to a Chinese mythology character Sun Wukong, who has also inspired the whole Dragon ball series. So if you have seen Dragon Ball, you might notice some lyrics and dance steps related to it in this mv And for recommendations I would like to suggest some of my personal fav mvs: Fallin Flower Fear Hit Hot Home Run Spider (It's one of the members solo song but I think you would like the mv and choreo)
@catshinee2524 Жыл бұрын
They were supposed to have 17 members that's why they're called seventeen however 4 trainees left before the group was settled to debut. They eventually came up with an explanation to keep the name, there are 13 members, they are divided into 3 sub units (vocal unit, hip hop unit and performance unit, they have their own songs, you can listen to them as well) and together they are one big team, so 13 + 3 + 1 = 17. They are self produced idols, which means they are involved in everything, from writing the lyrics to choreograph the songs. They are called the synchronization kings, you can understand why by watching them dancing together. They never fail to make good music and their mvs are pretty cool, the transitions are insane!
