Bought the back room on my 19th birthday and now at 32 I'm still loving my favourite band. It's all about opinions. I was absolutely gutted when chris left and thought it was the end for the group and while I find I don't particularly like some of their stuff since they've no doubt proven they've still grown. And I like this 👍 As for some of the comments, if you don't like editors anymore then go listen to something else 😂

The main character is lonely and empty so one day he decides to bring his favourite artist back to life (a Beyonce parody) to live with her but just in the way he wants to: she can only dance (what she is known for) but can't speak or react to the world : be pretty, do what we want and shut up. The lyrics also explain that :"You mean the creature, not the creator", the creature medias and fame made but not the artist. When the girl rebels herself, he stops being interested and goes to do the same thing with an other artist (a parody of Taylor Swift)

To those who say that Editors are no longer the same rock Indie Band, please remember Depeche Mode, they are still awesome rocking the synthesizers. Editors are on the same road and this song proves it ❤️

Despite my purest love for Depeche mode unfortunately they have only created one great album after Wilder left - Ultra. I always feel hard to judge Exiter since it came out when I fell in love with them, so I'm confused whether it's actually a good album or I just feel nostalgic about it. I still go on every show they give around me but to be honest almost everything they did in past 15 years is just repeating itself. Speaking of Editors I love that they strive to evolve with every album although their last one was not quite my cup of tea. Have mixed feelings about the video cause on one hand I'm quite familiar with the landscape in it 🤣 and always appreciate the weird grace of it, but the "pop culture" references seemed way too plasticky in it, like in an advert. Didn't made the whole picture for me. P.S. The guy was wonderfully creepy)

I love their newer sound, never really liked their first two albums, but "In This Light And On This Evening" really got me because I loved their, say, techno-songs like Papillon or Blood Drool. And "In Dream" is their best album for me, and one of the best albums at all. They use synths and such things in a great way to really make them add something to their music. For me, they're better than Imagine Dragons or something (both bands have this cool thing about them that their songs seem to be normal and then the chorus kicks in and it is ten times louder and wilder, just like in "Halleluja").
