If this doesn't sound quite right to you, as it didn't to me at first, it's because right and left channels are reversed. Compensate with your headphones to put the violins back on the left.

Claudia Filippino I just wanted to say, that I heard this album 60 years ago on my 15th birthday. I was a gift from my best friend, and from the first note to the last, I was over come with the majesty, and the exquisite style of his representation of each conquer. For 60 years I have loved this music, and will continue to love until my dying day. I only wish, I could have thanked him for the untold hours of pleasure he gave me, with this album and the album Safari.

Thank you for sharing this great arraignment--I first purchased (and still have to this day) the original LP. I first heard a recording on WQXR- NYC in 1957, had to have the entire album. This full score was recorded at St.Mary Magdalene Church Paddington, England. Thank you for bringing it to the light of day it deserves to be heard, a brilliant piece. The art work and photos add such dimension to this recording . You have done a great service to this art form--------Tom D

Greetings, Ever have music from your childhood just pop into your head? This is what happened a few days ago with this album. I got it probably as a Christmas gift back around 1964. My parents thought it was be a sure winner for me. I would have been about 14 or so. I guess you would classify it as a collection of cinematic 'tone poems'. Well, I played hell out of it. Good thing it was open real tape. I would have worn the grooves completely off the disc had it been an LP. It stayed in my music library until I was forced to give up my extensive open reel collection and tape decks about 14 years ago. I am 71 now. Great to hear my old recording again, and to restore it to my music archive again. Thank you robt007, and god bless KZbin! ;-)

I listened to this as a kid...It was the first time I heard the Mazurek Dabrowskogo..I was expecting the Horst Wessel Lied...Oh well, Hitler's Inferno vol 1 and 2 took care of that..
