Skinner had a strap come undone, he had opportunities to freeze the puck. Ref is under zero obligation to blow the whistle if a goalie has a strap come loose. Most guys will flip their mask off

Not a bad game overall. Couple mistakes, few missed calls for both sides. All in all good game and we got point. Plus! Vancouver blew a 4-1 lead and lost in OT so we got some laughs😄😄

They will whistle it if the mask comes off of the goalie's head. Skinner felt it come loose, but didn't shake his helmet off his head, hoping that his team would gain possession and score, and not wanting to risk a faceoff. He then erroneously tried to use the mask being loose as a way to get the OT goal to come back.

Yeah, refs don’t care about goalies protection anymore. This happens all the time the Pittsburgh goalie his blocker fell off and the pug was 99 mph and he could not save it

Either he is a top 5 goalie so his A game goes supernova or he is a bottom tier see more his d game. Need more steady b game as he is heading to his prime yrs. He played a big part to getting to game 7. Remember what he did to la after game 2 last yr and the game 6 win against Dallas . Dude can play. . Needs to not give up easy goals at times esp the top tier teams like Vegas Florida Colorado . Margin of error small. 3 on 3 who cares who scores. Means crap besides extra point. When is the last time u saw playoffs played 3 v 3. Think about that . Even if EDM wins should Evaluate u how good EDM is playing 3 v 3. Alot is played 5 v 5 EDM metrics 5 on 5 very very good. This is a good indicate the metrics at 5 v. 5 or even strength and defensive metrics at even to evaluate alot of teams come playoff time. Enjoy overtime but don't evaluate how good a team really is at 3 v 3 come playoff time

Florida was top 8 in most categories 5 v 5. EDM was even better. That game 1 finals not sure the scouting report given to the EDM players , but alot of EDM chances was going low and along the ice on bro which is most goalies strength in the NHL . That person or group should be fired.

Refs screwed us many times this game, but hey it’s a point and if it weren’t for the refs it could’ve been a different story. Not a loss to think about. 🧡🖤🧡🖤
