It's absolutely a phenomenon we lose our first game back home after a road trip. The wild have had our number for years. Thank God we don't have as of late Sunday evening games as we lose those games no matter who we play. It's almost a guarantee! GO OILERS GO!

This Oiler team is broken in so many ways, and one of them is the lack of defensive awareness up and down the roster.

Again, I can't watch the games. What follows is my opinion. So the first goal 27 seconds in to the game was a weird one by Draisaitl. Draisaitl shot it from his own blue line and it took a funny hop off of 2 sticks and in. It's times like that I can see a Goalie looking up and asking God if he owes him money or something. This was a situation where Edmonton had issues clearing and eventually Minnesota got it in. The mismatch in blocks tells me there needs to be another round of posterior whoopin' to get it into the heads of ALL players that a stick can block a shot so get them in the lanes and help your goalie out. Ekholm with 5 giveaways and Bouch with 4 were mostly due to dump and chase but still it's a lot. Oilers had more shots (which is pretty normal now), won quite a few more faceoffs, fewer penalty minutes, fewer hits, half the blocked shots, more giveaways, 1 less takeaway and the Wild are not known as a high scoring team yet they got 5 and the Oilers only got 3. I know we don't tend to do well against them but still it's like some things were half hearted. They also finally lost a game that had a fight. Take care all.

I miss Kassian beating on Tkachuk. I would love to see that a few dozen more times.

Those endless regroups that lead to terrible breakout passes are beyond frustrating. They never attack with speed. They don’t play quick. They have no connectivity. It’s almost like a pick up team that hasn’t played with each other. It’s as if 30% of the team is new, that they got slower, older & the vets seem unmotivated. Hmm wonder what’s wrong here. Got beat by a much superior team today!

The Oilers would end up scoring three goals but that game was ugly on goals allowed and rough stuff.

I'm an Oilers fan and that wasn't humble pie, the Minnesota Wild have had the Oilers number for most of the last 10 games played. There are just some teams that certain teams can't figure out, Minnesota is one of these teams for the Oilers.
