A miscalculation on some people’s part losing two young talents but it’s history. Boys need 2 points and should be focused on that and not the mismanagement of two young players. Interesting interview. Thanks for the update

It is a business, so I can accept the whole B&H offer sheet situation, EXCEPT for one thing: the compensation rules. A team should get compensated with a pick in the round the player was originally selected from. That of course would also impact GM calculations of whether or not to tender the sheets. B&H had a logjam in front of them, the Oilers were going for veterans, the franchise had and have big signings on the horizon, they weren’t in a position to pay a premium on youth (arguably), while the Blues were. Sure, coaching and management staff coulda gotten ahead of it and secured them for the future, AS the future, but if I were their agents, I’d have been happy with the way it all went. And again, the compensation rules suck. (1st round compensation can be lottery ineligible.)

🤣 all your success was gifted to you on a silver platter. When you finally have to make a smart decision towards your future you dropped the ball. The only rule that should be in place is a team can only receive 1 number 1 pick once every 10 years.

I really wish Holloway to stay with Oilers for a long time...He scored some amazing goals during last year's playoff run, but it's all business at the end of the day I guess...I really enjoy watching Podkolzin and Kapanen! Thank you Patrick for these daily amazing info!

Hi Ptrick and all oilers from Germany. nice video today, and a lot of infos for me. Broberg was areally big loss! from my point of view he had to be an oiler !!! yes we got some good prospects and with Podkolzin areal good Hockeyplayer too, but if we look at the games now played iisnt the offense the part we had to improve, but the defense. yes, the two new defenders are motivated and full of action, but they need time and better partners to come to Brobergs level in the playoffs. Fut it is Pro hockey and if you will have an intern problem, guys are able to leave. so it will be a good welcome back tonight, nothing more. I will support my oilers tonight again, 4 am it starts, hopefully our offense will make a good game again, Hyman, Batman and Robin are again on the move and Goalie Skinner will not have much Skinner moments too. Cheers from cold Germany, play la bamba again tonight...

If only we played broberg earlier instead of keeping him in the minors in favor of players like 73. Clearly someone messed up. This frustrated him and he requested a trade. Clearly broberg was correct with his frustrations. So the person who really screwed up is the one who overlooked broberg potential and didn't insert him into the lineup earlier. Woodcraft? Knobloch? If we played broberg to start the season last year we would have him , vinny and Holloway on our roster today. Not playing broberg resulted in us losing all 3.

I am so still not happy with the Oilers management, Jeff Skinner and Arvidsson are busts ! To me the money, could have gone to one of the two Broberg would have been my pick

This is hindsight, but it would be nice to have Holloway for his current salary instead of McLeod, Foegele, Skinner and Arvidsson combined. There's still time this year for those latter two to make contributions, but both B&H were good future pieces. The compensation rules suck, Oilers should have received two 1st round picks.

I think Broburge and Hallaway will get what they deserve witch is nothing lol. The winning days in St.louis are done for a long time it's what they get for being to greedy, they had to wait in line to get a good pay check

Edmonton has been a desperate team since pre McDavid….. You rarely make the best decisions out of desperation. Over paying the wrong players and letting good young talent walk away…
