Not really, I own a 2023 Wagoneer Series III and have driven it from L.A. to N.C. and then from N.C. to Alaska pulling a trailer and had zero issues. The only recall I've had on mine is a diff sensor that kept causing a check engine light. I will admit the uconnect system is super laggy and disconnects from my phone from time to time, but over all it has had no major issues and has performed great. Not to mention it also has the highest safety rating from IIFHS which they did not mention in this video. If you don't own one, haven't driven one for thousands of miles, I don't really think you can talk trash about it based on what you have seen on the internet.

I don’t mean this to come as an insult to you either, I’ve owned many f150’s and the new gens definitely have their electrical issues. I haven’t had too much problems but that doesn’t negate the issues ford has had. Same thing here, I think the wagoneer was a great shot and had so much potential. But given how much people have to fork out and to have so many issues? Still an issue…it’s great you didn’t have many devastating issues and so that’s one in the win column for sure. Driven all three a lot and own several full size SUVs. The Jeep is nice, but I’d never own one based on reliability and dealer service. The Tahoe/Suburban is a bit nicer inside but the Ford steers and handles better and the torque from the EcoBoost V6 is fantastic. The GM and Ford are a toss up but no way I’d take another chance on Stellantis Jeep

@wjtinatl The only with the Expedition is that it's overpriced and the Ecoboost engine won't outlast the 5.7L I-Force V8 in the 2020 Toyota Sequoia nor the 5.6L Endurance V8 in the Nissan Armanda.
@wjtinatl11 ай бұрын
@@CJColvin well, they’re all overpriced in my book, I looked at a new Suburban Z71 with an 80k + sticker. And Grand Wagoneers’s are close to 100k. Regarding the EcoBoost vs a V8, I don’t think that’s true anymore. There are tons of F-150s with the 3.5 EcoBoost with 200k or more in them still running strong. And the GM v8s haven’t been close to trouble free. Jury is out on the Keep’s Hurricane 6, fingers crossed as it could break Stellantis if it turns out to be problematic. The Armada engine is fantastic, I agree. The rest of the Armada is awful and way past its sell by date and Toyota no longer offers the bulletproof V8, only a Turbo V6 now. Lots of good choices but for me it would only be the GM or Ford’s.

bought a 2022 Wagoneer used... at a tad over half price of the original window sticker. I don't see any lag issues on our Uconnect. No disconnecting. Wireless CarPlay is quick to connect. The only "issue" I've had with it is that occasionally the radio will revert to CarPlay rather than XM or FM. Only did that two or three times. In the short time, I've had it, no recalls have been published and all were taken care of prior to purchase. 5.7 Hemi and 8speed are basically the same as the Ram 1500 I had. The autos Start/Stop is MUCH more refined than the version I first experienced in a 2019 Ram that I owned for 9 months. The Auto Start/Stop was NOT programmed well and did not restart the engine until you let off the brake pedal too far, which resulted in the truck lurching forward. This Wagoneer, however works MUCH better. Still feel like the Dodge/Jeep auto start generator/motor is the best design.... and now it's dialed. So far, I'm thrilled with my Wagoneer.

I did an in depth hands on comparison between the Grand Wagoneer L, Yukon Denali XL, and Expedition Platinum Max last spring. My rankings were the same as in this video, GW > Yukon > Expedition. GW was the nicest and felt the closest by far to giving you parity between price and features. The Yukon's interior felt 1-1.5 generations behind the GW's interior at not that big of a discount. The Expedition, though the cheapest of the three, felt noticeably overpriced. The Expedition felt the biggest while driving, the Yukon's ride was flinty, and the GW was smooth all around. From an interior usability standpoint, the GW won hands down for storage, general space, and features actually used by a family. I didn't end up getting any of them, but I'm thinking about reevaluating once the '25s come out.

I rode in a wagoneer and it rides very smooth almost floaty. The suburban however with the magniride was just amazing, 18 hour trip and I wasn't fatigued at all and my grandma who can never ride over 4 hours without popping vicodin for back pain didn't take a single pill. It really soaks up the bumps and even eliminates them. The Expedition however, is so harsh its crazy. Ive had about 3 different expedition rentals and it rides worst than my explorer although i do like the ecoboost. I was never a driver in the wagoneer so i can't speak for its handling but it off the suburban and expedition max the suburban handled better. The magniride kept it level in turns, it was ZERO lean, you could take a ramp at 40 mph and it stayed in place. The turn radius was sharper on the suburban also, shocked me i had to get out and check if the rear wheels where also turning.Also, If you use the button above your head in the Tahoe you can slide the entire console back and that's where my mom put her gigantic purse

@AnontheGOAT I rent SUVs when I travel and am routinely in GMC products. I like my Max limited better. Grand Wagoneer has a beastly engine that is nice too. My Max is quicker (even the specs show that), the transmission has been smooth and rock solid, and the 10 speed transmission is great on the highway. There's more fuss in the GMC, IMHO and it feels like it's working harder. This is the reason we have choices in how we spend our dollars I guess. Both are nice in my opinion.

@@calvinedwards4382 The interior is of more inferior quality(far more cheap plastics and hard surfaces strewn about the cabin), the ride is too soft in normal mode, it crashes over bumps, it can’t handle a turn without feeling like it’s gonna roll over, the transmission shift is horrendous(friend just had his replaced - 2018 Expy), my 2020 will eventually develop transmission issue(already can tell at 30k miles). The only good thing about it is towing capability and the engine. What’s hilarious is that you’re comparing a Limited to a Denali when the reality is that there is no comparison. A more fair comparison would have been the Platinum. My 2020 is also a Limited. The 2022 Denali that’s replacing is superior. The engine has tons of power, transmission feels like it’s not even there. The 3.5 ecoboost is nothing special until the turbos kick in. Just rented an Expedition Limited for 2 weeks. First time with something like these. Mostly it was very good. Good power, comfortable. But the A/C wasn't fantastic. The liftgate didn't go out so high, or perhaps it was angled down a bit towards the bottom. Good head banging height for 6 footers. Perhaps that is adjustable more, but it seemed at its limit. As expected it didn't love being tossed around the backroads of connecticut. Other issues, the wireless phone charger location was difficult to access. While I suspect its the same for all, it was confusing when I first got from the rental agency. so many features, so big. Overall I think for the price it would be hard to find something better in terms of value. I always like small and fast but as I age comfort is nice. Huge deal breaker for me is that they have captain chairs, only making them a 7 seater… for that size it better have 8 seats.

No lady. No. Sorry. Tahoe 6.2 by far. The wagoneer is a large van. The leg room in the tahoe is larger than in the wagoneer. I would relegate wagoneer to 3rd place. The tahoe has 1 touch access to cameras . I took the tahoe for a road trip and in a mountain road where speed limit is 120 k/h or 75 miles per hour I rode at 80 milesxhour and the tahoe went flying uphill as of didn't exist. Smooth ride

Re: Tahoe center console 😂 where’s the rest of it? Are you kidding me? It seems like you put very minimal effort into this review. Sad. These are not at all huge in size as you say and harp on. They represent amazing technology. You totally belittle the products. People driving these could care less about Dr Pepper containers. Omg grow up.

Don’t buy one. It was hard for me to admit because ever since it was released I just loved the GW and Wagoneers so much but they are extremely unreliable and will most likely be nothing but a headache and a factor to high bp. Maybe wait and see if they get their shit together for the refresh in 2025/2026. That’s still being optimistic in my opinion considering it’s a Stellantis product.
@mujjuman9 ай бұрын
@@ineedamaxwyn thank you for the advice and heads up. GM isn’t without their problems either but Stellantis is worse.

When you are the "latest out of the gate", and have a target, you better be the best out there (and for a price, you'll have to pay for it too). That brings the evaluation of the three very much closer (than maybe presented) here.

I have a 2023 Wagoneer and I have experienced nothing but trouble with it. I appreciate you like it (apparently I did as well), but it’s a complete turd. I just ordered a 2024 Expedition.

Quality and reliability is probably the main concern on the Jeep. I never had a good one. So sticking with the Tahoe.
@burningblue125411 ай бұрын
The wagoneer starting price is 20k more than the Tahoe. A more fair comparison is an Escalade and Navigator comparison. I sat in the driver's seat of the wagoneer and felt it was too small. Escalade kills it. The other consideration is reliability I will take the Tahoe and Expedition over a Jeep anyday.
@krane1511 ай бұрын
on the other hand, there are 3 level of the Wagoneer. Level 1,2, and 3 competes directly with the Tahoe, Yukon, and the Escalade.

I’m at the market now for a large SUV. It’s between the Ford expedition and the Tahoe. Wagoneer just too expensive and I’m not a fan of it anyway. I’m leaning towards the expedition but the 2025 Tahoe update looks very nice to me in the interior. Plus I do a lot of highway driving so it would be smart for me to go with the diesel that Chevy offers.

We got a '23 Expedition King Ranch in August and we love it. Have over 10K miles with no issues so far, so initial quality has been good for us. Plus they were dealing on the '23 models, you could get $8K off and low 0.9% financing but I don't know if that's the case now.

I own a 2023 GW SIII - L and my neighbor owned 2021 Escalade. After seeing mine daily and riding in it a few times, he switched to a Grand Wagoneer as well, granted his is a 2024, but still. I often see the GW compared to the likes to the Navigator and Escalade, so if you guys haven't done a comparison video of those yet, there's another feature option. Some people love them, like myself. Others think they're overly priced (somewhat fair) or are ugly (personal preference). I've always thought the Escalades looked terrible, so to each their own. I believe that especially for their first outing into the full size and luxury SUV markets, they did a moderate to good job.
