I've never had an edh deck. I got this build fully signed. I don't like complicated deck. +1 for this edric edh.

Have you considered Crashing Drawbridge for this deck?

Yes, I have, actually! The only reason I haven't included it is because most of the time you're casting creatures after combat, since you draw all those cards off of combat damage triggers. So the creatures you cast from after drawing them wouldn't be able to attack that same turn anyways. Also, if you're cheating creatures into play with Aluren at the end of the turn before yours, they won't have summoning sickness anymore so you can attack with them (or if you flash them into play with Alchemist's Refuge or Winding Canyons). But, if you have a fat hand because you have Reliquary Tower in play, and you cast a bunch of creatures in your precombat main phase (or cheated them into play with Aluren), then it having Crashing Drawbridge would be useful in that situation, since you'd be able to attack with all those creatures that entered the battlefield. Crashing Drawbridge definitely has the mana cost for this deck. It's generic mana so it's comfortable to cast, as well. So I wouldn't disregard it or advise against it for anyone wanting to include it in their own Edric deck.

Edric is a very political commander but what if players don't follow your politics? What do you suggest to do? In your gameplay video with Edric, your opponents played it smart and didn't attack each other as much. How do you handle getting attacked before going off?

That's a good point and a good question. Unfortunately, in that game I wasn't able to eliminate both players before dying. It was also a 3-player free-for-all match instead of a 4-player game. Usually, when players have 3 opponents to worry about, they attack each other if they need to dig for answers. The biggest weakness of the deck is being defeated by beatdown since our blockers are quite literally chumps and thus only useful for one block. Unless we draw into Cyclonic Rift or Constant Mists there's a high likelihood of defeat. That being said, if we're able to drop enough unblockable weenies in order to really dig into the deck, we'll draw into answers in case any wily opponents turn sideways at us. Then, the uncooperative opponent is the one that needs to be attacked first.

Dont always gotta attack, less experienced edric players will just turn sideways every turn to dig but sometimes you dont want enemies at the moment and just wanna build a presence and let people fight with edric on board. Find a win con then sit patiently until you kill the table with counter backup.

@@caseywho8957 That's true. Sometimes hitting opponents for just jabs of 1-2 damage isn't enough to set people off. But my pod knows how strong Edric can be so I am a threat at the table whenever I sit down with him. I usually get better results in a 4-man pod. You're right though, sometimes it's best to let opponents take advantage of Edric first in order to garner good will.

Oloro was my first deck so it's definitely something I could put together in the near future. I did disassemble it for being too oppressive, but I think I could do a deck tech on how I had it. At least it'd be interesting to see how it would've continued evolving had I kept it.
