Yes! Great drum designer. When the first Simmons Electronic Drums came out, the idea was to explore sound, but most drummers just used the classic disco presets. Elestronic synthesis is about exploring unlimited sound possibilities! Thank you!

Nice. How are you connected to reason through midi? I have a Yamaha DT extreme II and I'm trying to do what you did. Thank you.

I love your enthusiasm. I've just got an Octapad (SPD-30) which is awesome all on it's own but I'll be hooking it up to Reason and your videos inspire me.

Will this work using the Nfuzd Enspire Electronic Drum Kit ??? Will it also work with your other lessons and videos ??
@LearnReason7 жыл бұрын
I do not know what that drum kit is and I am not sure what you mean when you say "with other lessons and videos"?
@LearnReason7 жыл бұрын
As long as the trigger module has a midi output it should work.

LearnReason Which Midi output Pin or USB ?
@LearnReason7 жыл бұрын
You will need to research that module, get the manual. You just need the module to be able to send midi out and if it does Reason will see it.

Hi, Matt. What about recording live drums into Reason? I've done this, but am struggling to find any videos. Am I better served with another DAW? Are there limitations further down the line I'm not thinking of?
@LearnReason7 жыл бұрын
Recording live drums is nothing knew and any DAW that records audio can do it. It is after the audio has been recorded and how you can edit that the differences in the DAW you use will come apparent.

Do you foresee working with someone who uses ProTools or Logic looking at me strangely for using Reason to record drums? Would they be able to mix and/or master for me using ReWire? What differences/limitations have you noticed? Thank you for the quick reply.
@LearnReason7 жыл бұрын
I do not get into the DAW wars, the best DAW for anyone is the one they know best that works for what they want to do...easy as that. You can always download Reason for free and try it for 30 days, this is the best way to learn if it has anything to offer you.

Thanks, Matt. I've used Reason in the past for more hip hop related production and love it. I just don't want to get deep into recording live instruments and then ask someone to help me mix/master and have them unable to work with my audio because the effects or other treatments from Reason won't translate to their DAW.

Hello I have a noname edrum kit that I had to add manually to reason. I can play it just fine, except for the hi hat pedal. I can't get it to work. It just plays a note when I press the the pedal down. Any suggestions?

How do you get an electronic drumkit to work with reason? Is it possible?
@LearnReason7 жыл бұрын
Randall J Feinberg I did a tutorial on that already. Yes you can.
@RandallJFeinberg7 жыл бұрын
I can run it through an audio track but I wanted to use reason drum sounds.
@LearnReason7 жыл бұрын
Randall J Feinberg I already made tutorials on how to do this, go to my youtube page and look for the Playlist "edrumming in Reason"

I saw a video of someone using the Garageband game drumkit to trigger notes in reason. I don't use them but, i'm sure other people are interested.
