My questions is what's the difference between stated value and par value but you skipped over it :(

i'm trying to figure out what you do now with more stock issued at no par value. Say you issue 100 common stock no par at $10 each. thats 10,000 common stock. Now you issue another 100 common stock at $12, that is credit to common stock of 12,000. Is there a contributed surplus in this instance or no? Thanks in advance
