I think pluggnb and new jazz get put together so often because of the sound selection. Both have trap drum and old/retro sounding synths, but they differ in their approach.

5:31 pluggnb and new jazz arent connected at all, the reason it may seem that way (and why theyre always grouped together in type beat titles on yt) is simply for clicks or people getting pluggnb wrong.

the thing that really links pluggnb and new jazz aside from trap-ish drums are the jazzy electric piano chords and synth leads. Almost every modern beat in both of these genres has these two elements. However both of these genres have evolved significantly over time and there are multiple different styles of both. If u want to listen to songs for pluggnb I recommend Nina by Autumn, Back 2 Da Basics by Summrs, and Get up Go by Texako. For newjazz I wud recommend listening to Alright and Lyk by Lunchbox as well as Sour Haribos by Venny and Jaybexo. ull noticed the elements I mentioned in almost all of these.

i think is because plugnnb is more soft, now, the real new jazz, is something more dark. So, when you combine the two, you have a new jazz progression and part of drums and the sofy of plugnb

Ok so like New Jazz is COMPLETELY different from Pluggnb. New jazz integrates subgenres like Rage and Drill but with a more melodic focus. Pluggnb consists of Plugg style drums with 90's-00's RnB melodies. Some good examples of Pluggnb artists and producers (new jazz was pretty true to the genre) are producers like Jxyy2k, Solxmn, 1kkyoto, Symels, Zukobain, Goyxrd, Xangang, etc. Some good artists are Lil Shine, Corey Lingo, 2018 era Summrs and Autumn, 2020-21 Jaydes, and Yung Frendi.

That new jazz lead is firee, but i in my opinion the 808 doesnt really fit. In my experience new jazz uses softer 808s in general mixed with a bit harder/"exotic" accent ones like the chasethemoney for example. Yours feels a bit to harsh. But for a first attempt really nice.
