A Lady in a traditional occupation. It sounds like Goldwater put his foot in his mouth in Florida. But, back THEN, there were more mining jobs, steel jobs, textile jobs (although they Had moved to the Anti-Union South) and assembly line jobs. Much less Men, and a distinct Minority of Women, attended College. Men COULD get a Decent job without it-and the ladies could be nurses, secretaries, stewardesses or teachers until they hooked themselves a Husband.
