Sorry, but 21st place? Are you for real? This should have easily made the top 5, and 100% should have made the top 10. One of the only songs without any backing vocals. Only song with proper choreography. Only song with a costume change! Like she sang after doing an entire dance routine while being held in the air, after being spun around on a mans back!! Sorry, but Spain, for whatever reason never get the result they deserve. In 2012 they should have placed top 3. 2014 they should have placed top 5. This year is just the same. Keep going the way ye are going Spain! One day you will win this! Keep up this outstanding songs and singers

I was baffled at how low this placed in the rankings. In a way, the whole thing had an air of Zlata Ognevich's song 'Gravity' from a few years back... and similarly, Edurne, as a performer, is a consummate professional, an impressive vocalist and always gives a lot on stage... The only problem? She sang for Spain, and Spain frequently doesn't get what it deserves at Eurovision, even when such effort is made. The only Western European country that can seemingly sing in its own language and consistently do well on the scoreboard is Italy, and it's not always justified in my view. I really thought this would be in the top ten.

S. Leo Chapman I dont think that the problem is the language... the lyrics of any song are easily got when one is interested. I think that it's just a question of 'friendship' ,'neighbourhood', alliances and voting exchange, a sort of 'if you are good with me, I'll be with you'. Some countries form a block and they help each other, marginalising others. It's crude but it's real, I'm afraid, you only must have a look to any rates of any year. Since a time ago, the first positions go always to the same area.... And about the language, it's a pity that countries don't sing in their own language, it's a loss of their own identity and culture. The funny and ironical thing was the motto of this year 'building bridges'.... And if it was a language question, what's the problem with United Kingdom?

+Garret Julian the reason is because Spain ist almost an island surrounded by mediterranean sea and the atlantic; and they only get votes from Portugal and France... The eastern countries vote each other and the northern ones do the same...... 2022 Amaia y Alfred estan en el top 60 de las canciones mas oidas del festival en todos los tiempos y quedaron en el puesto 23 en el festival de 2018. Te lo digo yo: eurovision es todo política. En esa época España tenía muy mal prestigio por todo lo q había hecho con el tema de Cataluña. Si te fijas, ese tema ha durado más de 10 años y durante ese tiempo casi no hemos estado en el top 10. (Tamb hay q decir q algún año no valió la pena la canción). Y si te das cuenta, el año pasado, España fue uno de los primeros países en ayudar a ucrania enviando armamento y material sanitario y demás para la guerra y upss sorpresa, es la primera vez en más de 10 años q quedamos 3r. 2n si no hubiera ganado ucrania q ya estaba todo preparado, claro. Y la canción no era de grammy, por así decirlo. Así q ya sabes, ese es el secreto de eurovision.

Despues de ver el descalabro de 2012 en que quedo segunda Rusia y dejaron fuera a Eslovenia que presentó la tremenda Verjmannen de Eva Boto (del mismo compositor del ganadora de 2007 (Molitva de Marija Sefirovic), no me extraña lo que pasó con España en 2015 (y eso que el ganador de dicho año me gusta). Hay un monton de desperdicio en Eurovision, lo de 2018 ya es echarle comer aparte, Israel por lejos tuvo el peor ganador de los ultimos 20 años del festival.

C'est toujours l'Espagne qui arrive en tête de mes favoris. Cette année j'ai aussi beaucoup aimé la chanson de la France, peut-être plus que l'Espagne, bien qu'elle n'a eu que 4 points TT. Mais dans les deux cas, je trouve ça insultant, l'espagnol est une si belle langue. Mes chansons préférées que l'Espagne m'a fait découvrir sont : Quedate Comigo (ma préférée), Dancing in the Rain et La noche es para mi ! I agree that the Big 5 (excluding the UK because we all saw that flop coming...) were completely mistreated last night. Germany 0 points, France and Spain, both who sent songs in their own languages, great singers and very pretty songs at the bottom and then Italy who should've won had to settle for third. I think they should either withdraw altogether or stop giving more money to the EBU than the other countries and start participating in semifinals, that way their song can also be heard twice These 4 countries deserved better than they got and it's a shame!!

Es la primera vez que veo Eurovision soy de México y aqui no llegan estos concursos, lo vi, porque me llamó mucho la atención desde hace un mes, la canción de Edurne, una melodía muy buena vocalmente y musicalmente, viendo los ensayos, me enamoré mucho más, es un numero muy completo. La desafinacion del final, fue lo malo, pero yo amo su actuación , es simplemente extraordinaria, la lágrima del minuto y treinta y dos segundos, mata a quien sea. Pero que le dieran el lugar numero 21 me parece algo muy grosero y mala onda de los votantes, Edurne fue de las más aplaudidas en las actuaciones yo la veía en los primeros 10, hubo actuaciones muy aburridas y quedaron más arriba, la verdad que es un injusticia para España y sobre todo Edurne. Señores, siéntanse orgullosos de Edurne, es fantástica, e hizo un gran trabajo, Edurne siempre la mejor y a mi me encanta el Amanecer. Un saludo desde México.

2020 y vuelvo a ver la actuación, sigo sin entender como quedó en un puesto tan bajo, la actuación es impresionante y su voz aún más. Muy injusto de verdad, se merecía más Edurne, es una gran cantante y también una gran persona. ParkerZone Mmmmm no ha sido la mejor actuación ni de lejos creo que confundís mucho con el termino puesta en escena que contra mas hagas es mejor y muchas veces no es así. El show se podía haber planteado mejor y les ha salido desangelada, una porque este año la realización austriaca era una mierda y otra porque España tampoco ha sabido ejecutarla bien como otros países que si lo han logrado, Rusia Suecia, Bélgica.....Y la clave estaba en la puesta en escena ya que la canción sinceramente es bonita pero se queda en la misma intensidad desde el primer estribillo....Ella ha estado soberbia en interpretación, vocalmente quizás un poco mejorable pero bien.....Pero vamos el año pasado la realización, voz y canción estuvieron mas acertadas a la hora final y de ahí obtuvo su buen puesto. Y si Edurne aun asi no mereceia ese 21 bochornoso pero tampoco un top 5 y difícilmente un top10, si acaso un top 15

Well, Edurne received a lot of 11th, 12th or 13th in juries qualifications, and a lot of 10th, 11th and 12th in televote but in a different way. For example, Georgia gives 3 points in jury to Spain, the country that juries qualificated the best, but in televote they were 19th, that's the reason. Because, Edurne in a country liked the jury and not public and viceversa

This remains one of my most listened to songs. Haunting & powerful. I played it to my Spanish class after we'd studied the lyrics. The subsequent class sing-a-long didn't go so well! I agree with other comments about how criminally underrated it was at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest which was won by yet another unmemorable, formulaic Swedish song 'Heroes'.

It was a real crime to the contest when this stunning song and near-flawless performance tanked in both the jury and televote. I still don't understand it.
