There was some lack of synchronicity, to be sure, but the spirit of the music is what counts here. So, instead of jabbering on about how they can't (yet) play together all the time, can't we celebrate what they, and all of us, find in this music...? Joy, delicacy and endless charm and delight. As a boy I wept every time I heard this first movement. I'd rather be that small boy than cast stones about their ensemble playing. The conductor is elegant and feels the music beautifully. Thank you for posting.

Delicious and enchantig work by Grieg. He seemed to capture the spirit of the Norwegian idyosincrasy and distilled it in superb lyrical and melodious ideas. He, like a consumate painter, coloured and coated it in magnificent musical tones.

I was surprised that an orchestra playing this song because I knew the piano score only. Fantastic!! P.S. I'm Japanese. I'm not good at writing English. Sorry.

Very intimate lyrical music to enrich the spirit with joy, beauty, and tenderness.

Compared to the version of the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra (2013), this is kind of slow motion.

That fullback on the right plays pretty good ... football.

They are obviously young, but well trained . They need to work on playing as one orchestra as opposed to many solo musicians that happen to be playing the same peice.

A few pitch and ensemble problems but great feel for Grieg and the charm of the music.

The recording balance is better in this version, but the playing is not as polished.

one of the violas, I think. Listen to the start of the Sarabande. Still, mustn't quibble. Lovely playing.
