If you remembered what finding scores like was before the internet you know the feeling of how it’s like a candy store today that some might take for granted.

Just discovered this channel and I love it.. it's about classical music, but there's no music, so I can practice while I watch :D You're a very good and fun interviewer too, Tiffany!

Thank you for making this interview happen. It was incredible to hear about the workings and origins of IMSLP (subscriber and extreme user lol). Good job Edward Guo!!!! I look forward to future developments.

Brilliant interview - well done Tiffany for arranging this discussion with Edward and a fascinating insight into one of the most important resources for musicians today. Nice also to see an interview outdoors in green leafy England!

I believe the video at 42:06 is of Rubenstein (this plus Tchaikovsky's 1st by him was my first experience of classical music - or maybe Brendel's Schubert late sonatas and klavierstucke cd). Listen carefully to Tiffany sing the melody as she interviews. Compare with the Rubenstein video. You will see she has perfect pitch and a perfect musical memory. (A bit like Glazunov famously did). She is extraordinary. Apparently music loops in her head quite often. That happens to geniuses, I am told!

What a life journey he had to take to get his dream going (good that he has a lot of life left!). Now, two things to look up: Nodame Cantabile and Grieg's Piano Concerto...

There's something terribly wrong with your audio! Frequently there is a crashing noise or whooshing that is frighteningly startling. Please see what you can to to make it stop. Because if you can't, I'll not watch your videos any more. Thank you.

I did not hear anything wrong. The problem might be on your side? Perhaps you could say a bit about which browser or computer you were using?
@rinardman6 ай бұрын
@@rharriszzz The audio is fine for me, too, other than a little wind noise. This person made the exact same comment on Tiffany's previous Classical Chat with Sofia Ouyang, so if there is a problem it's with his/her device, not Tiffany's video.

No issues on my end either, apart from occasional wind noise.
@boltezt6 ай бұрын
It's a pity the sound quality is terrible, because the interview itself is very worth it. But I agree, the audio spikes, blow-outs and especially the wind noise make this almost unlistenable. Don't interview guests outside in the wind without proper wind protection. The camera endlessly trying and failing to find its focus is also distracting. Sorry for the negativity Tiffany, you're doing a great service to all of us by just posting this, but the production could definitely use someone who takes care of the tech stuff, so you can focus on the interview.
