Edward IV was King of England from 1461 to 1483 … although bear in mind, he was dethroned for six months in 1471.
He’s the 12th Plantagenet King to have reigned in England - the first Yorkist King - and he played an integral part in the Wars of the Roses.
He’s famous for having usurped the previous sitting king Henry VI when he was 18 years old … and for setting the stage for one of history’s villains (maligned, though he may have been).
