Edward Norton has had a long and successful career, but he still can't help being affected by public scrutiny towards his work. So, good news and bad news: You're not alone in your insecurity, but it never goes away!

Sam is the best interviewer I've ever seen. His prep work is evident and the way he gets people to open up without interrupting them is phenomenal.

Sam Jones: sets up the question and then gets out of the way. A+. He let's Ed's expressiveness shine.

This project is pure gold and deserves far more recognition! The amount of sincerity from people, who otherwise stay 'cool' on cameras to maintain their celebrity image, is just incredible, Sam really does an amazing job with bonding with all these artists and creators and making them feel as comfortable as possible to discuss their ups and downs in the most humane way. Keep it real, Mr. Jones!

To this day Fight Club remains one of my top three favourite films. I'm equally glad and amazed it exists, yet furious how it almost never happen and how Hollywood doesn't allow and take more risks like it.

Great work Mr. Jones. The quality of your interaction with your guests harks back to legends like Dick Cavett and David Susskind

I remember how Fight Club blew up on college campuses. It got a huge following regardless of the critics. In college, my friends went to see it several times. I still haven’t seen it and I know I need to!

I enjoy this series and this is another great interview excerpt. I don't understand why there are so many views but few likes, and I don't get the one dislike. I'd love an explanation of that.

I hope Sam can get Peter Dinklage on for an interview. Feels like this kind of format would be great for him, since he always looks very uncomfortable in those scripted Late Night TV interviews...

I liked his references to Bob Dylan... I just finished an album and found a framed Dylan poster online the day I finished I felt like that was a thing... And I've just done 4 project albums in about 8 months and each time I released one I was "long gone" onto the next thought idead... But no one listened to them but my brother ha!

I love Ed Norton and it really upsets me he's dealing with this due to a bloody fantastic and highly original film wity a far reach around the world. I wasn't aware it was slaughtered by the critics. How odd! He's a talented actor, writer and director I miss his work!

I still think many people still don't "get" Fight Club and many of those that embrace it just like it because it's daring and controversial. But the idea of "resetting" things is huge. It's actually a movie that seems to be for Working Class people but often resonates strangely with bootlickers, suits, and royals...all of which are denounced in this movie.

Interesting to watch a guy like Edward Norton haphazardly attempt to articulate the experience self consciousness an artist goes through when presenting a work of art for public scrutiny. Almost like he can't quite find the words.

Can someone fill me in on who the interviewer/this channel is? I’ve seen a few of these now and I’m getting a slight bit of pseudo-intellectual/fakeness from this guy, but also some bits of extreme genuine personality... I don’t want to be too quick to cast judgement or form an opinion, but I don’t want to pull the trigger on subscribing until it really feels right to do so, so will watch more, but also want people’s opinion and any background on who this guy is

@@Sedge86 when I was younger this is how I would have approached this problem, but not now - I've had many failures, hardships, and setbacks in my life, and the aggregate of this journey has taught me there is no price high enough for ensuring trust - when I subscribe to a channel now, I'm not just signing up for notifications, I'm sealing the deal on an intellectual bond - a marriage of thought - with another human, and I will not risk being infiltrated by a facade of integrity that truly wishes me harm. Good day, Jake.
