BTT - Manta M8P - TMC2209 UART With Sensorless Homing

This is a simple tutorial on how to setup TMC2209 with an endstop and sensorless homing on Manta M8P in Klipper using MainsailOS.

Great tutorial. There are simpler ways to do it now, but maybe not at the time as Mainsail OS is included in the imager now. I would just include mainsail.cfg in printer cfg and not copy all the information as other stuff in that file would be needed also.

Nice video for setup sensorless homing. Hi Ed's, i having this error on klipper in my M8P "Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_z' register IFCNT Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the "FIRMWARE_RESTART" command to reset the firmware, reload the config, and restart the host software. Printer is shutdown" any idea.

Hiya, great clear instruction! many thanks!. I have quite a few questions if that ok with you. 1. I have bought M8P + CB1 with TCM2209. so am I right to say that with the M8P + CB1 combo, all I need to do is just klipperised the CB1 with its image from github and there's no need to also install firmware on the actual MCU board? 2. I'd like to understand a bit more in regards to the TCM2209 compared to not using it. I've got an ender 5 pro which I'm planning to upgrade to mercury 1.1 with. If you have any links or guidance on this, it'd be much appreciated. 3. What's the diff between v1.1 and v2.0? thanks

Thanks. The M8P and CB1 were provided to me by BTT. I do like the combination, but suggest changing the root password to OS. If you prefer to use endstops which most users do I suggest tmc2208 stepper drivers. As for the version 2 board I've yet to see and will probably review documentation shortly. Also there's a link to Discord below where you can discuss boards with other users.

so these boards aren't shipping with jumper caps on the power supply, also page 12 in the manual is incorrect
