These all have the same tweeter. I went with the 3.5 plus a Sub 8 subwoofer. I rolled off at something like 120 Hz. This asked less of the smaller 3.5” cone; it acts more like a midrange driver. Very happy with the setup, about the same price as a pair of Eris 5. But I’ll match bass with those any day.

I am blown away by the Eris 4.5. A beautiful upgrade from my previous Mackie CR3, which died of a sudden death. The soundstage & stereo separation is super clear & concise. The bass is deep & clean. I didn't buy the 5 because the price seemed significantly higher for only .75" bigger woofer. Totally happy with my purchase.
@FromTheHood Жыл бұрын
Damn I just got Mackie CR3XBT White edition. For how long did you had them before they died?
@harri211 Жыл бұрын
@@FromTheHood I had the Mackie for about 3 or 4 years. It died for the stupidest reason - the toggle switch to designate the master speaker as left or right went bad. I could jiggle it back & forth to get it working for an hour or two, but became more of a hassle than its worth. Having them fixed would cost about as much as purchasing a new one. So just bought new Eris's. Loving them dearly!

Had the Eris 3.5's for over 2 years, and just a few days ago I upgraded to the E5's. Have to say: The bass response truly is on another level, and they do feel like a more "serious" set of monitors. However, I still think that the 3.5's are amazing: Incredible clarity, good stereo imaging and overall easier to use than the E5's (Switching them on/off with only one switch, less power consumption, less chance of constructive interference on low frequencies). In conclusion: If you just want to listen to music without much complication and you dont mind the restricted bass response, the 3.5's are an amazing choice. Having said that, the E5's are on a whole different level, and really worth the extra money and effort for more sensitive applications.

There's switches on back of the E5's to address the low end. Also mid and treble knobs. It all depends on the layout and setup I gather, so it's nice to have the options. Personally, I lika da bass, that's what sold me on them, especially for the price and small footprint. But if I was doing serious mixing I'd have to adjust for less low end.

I recently bought the 4.5 monitors for my home setup. I do television and film sound and sometimes I just work at home in stead of my studio. I have been using them for a week now and I am actually still adjusting to the sound quality, but I am really not unimpressed. The unreliable power grid in my country has claimed my iLoud Micro monitors and I purchased these as a backup pair while I have the others repaired. In my opinion the iLoud monitors are still better. @@ReckDemon What is Sonarworks? Is it a application or plugin? My bad haven't heard this one and yes, I'll be getting a m40x instead of monitoring speakers.

I would like to buy the E3.5 but I have read some comments or reviews saying that it wont work the same after two months or three months so someone can tell me if it is true, isnt it ?

No doubt that presonus gives the best quality in reasonable prices.

Good reviews thanks ! I'm looking for an upgrade to my actual desktop speakers " Logitech Z623 ", my budget is around 200 300 euros. Just for watching You tube videos and Netflix and Amazon not for a music production, have you an advice for a good value for the money ? Thank you very much for your response
